Amarcord Museum Italian Restaurant in Camden

Lovely Italian food and nice vine. My family and me had a dinner there 4 days ago after visiting the British museum. Place is really cosy, food was very delicious and stuff so friendly and helpful. Definitely will be back here for dinner and vine with my friends .

Had an excellent lunch here yesterday after a visit to the British Museum. The Pizza was delicious, with lots of cheese, peppers and pepperoni. The choice of dessert is extensive - we loved the mixed fruit cheesecake. Service was excellent and very friendly. Overall a very pleasant surprise after months of Covid hibernation.

Amazing experience! Very good pasta, expecially the seafood choice. Many thanks to the curly hair waitress for the dessert recommendations! They were absolutely divine! A 10 out of 10 food and experience

We asked for the special menu which includes 3 courses for £19. Very fair prices especially being so close to the museum. However if you know how a Italian dish should taste like you would be disappointed. Bruschetta with no garlic, the Gorgonzola pasta didn’t have any Gorgonzola and the tiramisu was not even close to the taste (probably made with cream cheese instead of mascarpone).The staff however was friendly and there were gluten free options available.

We went in there and asked for a cup of coffee. The coffees we got were lukewarm at best, something we pointed out to the server. The server did not take this very kindly and insisted that lattes were not supposed to be hot. She took it a step further by telling us that, and I quote, "if you want a coffee, go to Starbucks".

Very friendly attentive staff. Food and drink is reasonably priced. Spinach and ricotta pasta is very nice. Pizza is good but nothing to rave about.

A lovely little Italian restaurant which also has pastries delivered from a local bakery. Staff were really nice; the chap said his half-Italian dad previously owned the restaurant, and the lovely girl from Cyprus was attentive and fun - great service all evening. They clearly enjoyed their roles, always a good sign. My Napolitana pizza was fresh, appetising and full of flavour. Little side salad was OK but my rosemary sautéed potatoes were just plain boiled ones. I did enjoy them with some mayonnaise, they were properly cooked and I was very hungry (hence pizza and potatoes!) but I dock a star because things different to as stated on menu is something that always bugs me. I enjoyed the Merlot and a delicious little canoli to finish. I'd happily visit again and I hope to do so.

I visited the Amarcord Museum restaurant on Sunday 19 December with five colleagues from work. The servers were very friendly and the ambience was pleasant. From there it all goes downhill.We were expecting generous, hearty, homecooked food and unfortunately received minimalist dishes that were improperly prepared, and not reflecting the description on the menu.We received dishes that we had not ordered.And remarkably we received dishes that were not on the menu.We were also charged on the bill for dishes that we never received.The portions were small to moderate which was a blessing considering most of the meals were incorrect, undercooked, bland and tasteless.One of the meals ordered by two of the guests was meant to be tagliatelle with gorgonzola and nuts. They received a dish with no cheese or nuts in sight and the sauce on the pasta was cold.I ordered the cheese board and was then told by the restaurant that there was no cheese left. They still tried to charge us for the cheese board on the bill. But at least we solved the mystery of the 'no-cheese' tagliatelle dish.Four guests ordered the crostini and ended up with a type of flatbread that was not on the menu.And it was obvious that other guests on other tables were experiencing similar problems.It was a comedy of errors from beginning to end. They did remove the service charge from the bill. I fear the best days of this restaurant are long gone but if anyone has some nostalgia for 'Fawlty Towers', Basil is alive and well in the Amarcord Museum Restaurant.

So-so only. We got fish and chips and a kids meal (spaghetti). Good service tho :)
