I called you last night after delivery of an incomplete meal - the main dish, lamb green chilli masala, was missing. As soon as I identified the order as having been placed through Deliveroo, the response I got, without a trace of hesitation, was “We put everything in the bag. The delivery driver probably took it for themselves. Take it up with Deliveroo. There’s nothing we can do.” and after that you were unwilling to engage in any further discussion.Firstly, I think you’re probably wrong. We added a rider tip, which was clearly noticed because the rider said thank you. The food was parcelled and stacked after your usual fashion. Being heaviest, you would have put the lamb in its usual place at the bottom, and the rider would therefore have had to remove the whole contents and then neatly re-stack everything in order to steal just that one item.Secondly, there’s the sheer speed with which you blamed Deliveroo. Apparently you regard the explanation of the rider stealing from your customers as much more probable than you having made a simple mistake yourselves. That begs the question: if you really believe that your partner organisation is stealing from your customers on such a regular basis, why on Earth do you continue to use them? Shouldn’t *you* be the ones raising such a serious issue with them? Shouldn’t you at least be taking more of an interest than simply telling your customers “It’s your problem”?I'm really disappointed. Pre-pandemic I used to come in and collect, and sit and have a beer and chat to your staff and enjoy the ambience while I did so. I left you a 5 star review back then. The pandemic's been hard on everyone, but it feels like you're pushing your problems onto your customers. Not good enough.

Rude staff that gets in trouble if they let someone use the toilet. Even though I asked to buy something to use it.

Not very good at all menu very small chicken frozen not fresh chicken will not be going back I know better restaurants but friend took me there lesson learned

Very bland madras and had about 5ml of oil on the top of all the dishes. So greasy. poppadoms...not singular...if its one per serving take the S off on the menu. Then we know to order more than 2, cause we will receive...2. Best thing about the whole meal was the mint sauce 😂

We have been going to the Bengal Lancer for some years. It's a favourite. However, our visit last week was a stinker. One dish did not come as ordered. And it did not even remotely resemble a chicken dhansak - being lamb rather than chicken and no lentils visible. My wife's veggie dishes looked and tasted well below par. Our son got food poisoning from his dish. Very sad. We will have to find another Indian restaurant.

Avoid this restaurant. We placed an order through Uber Eats and was supposed to take 25- 30mins. We called the restaurant after 30mins of delay and they kept telling us the driver is on the way.The driver did not arrive and we were just kept on the phone line for several minutes.Such a shame that Uber eats allows such low standard restaurant to be on their platform.Absolute Rubbish! The food never arrived!

I’m obsessed with a good Indian takeaway, Everywhere I go gotta try the takeaway. This is thE best I’ve had. Beautifully authentic and incredible flavours. Could not critique it, honestly the best curry I’ve had.

The food here is pretty good, I have got takeaway from here a few times and the 20% off for collection is good if you live locally. The vegetarian tali was also very nice and the portion size was excellent

The food I had was excellent. The staff was very attentive though not too enthusiastic. The naan bread was also slightly undercooked for my taste. Still a very solid experience with great food.
