Bull & Last in Camden

The BAL used to be an honest pub serving slightly above average quality food.Sadly it made them over confident.It is now an overpriced gastro pub and hotel (that part is important) serving food of varying quality. Bit of a lottery from day to day. But even at its best, the prices are not justified.The staff is also as cocky as their prices. Shame..

Probably one of the best (if not the best) pubs in London. The food is amazing and the staff very friendly. Location is right next to the beautiful Hampstead Heath, great for digestive walks

Wonderful! GO! In the midst of the Pandemic the tables were far enough apart, the staff was masked. You felt safe and cozy. Excellent Service (Daniel). And the FOOD! BEST FISH & CHIPS I HAVE EVER HAD! The Buttermilk Chicken gets 7 stars!! The brown crab! GO!!

The prices are criminal - £17 for a quarter of a cabbage! That being said, the Ferrero Rocher ice cream is some of the best I’ve tasted. Stop off for an ice cream and swerve the pricey mains.

Great place. Cosy on a winter's night! First time diner. Had best pub Christmas dinner ever. Staff very friendly. Can't fault the place at all and look forward to next visit.

The food here is excellent! You must try all the starters. We loved the fresh seafood pasta in particular. The staff are super friendly, and helpful. We still need to try the Sunday Roast here.

Consistently good food, however prices have gone up since the last time I went, and truthfully some prices are cheeky in my opinion, a portion of anchovies as a starter portion for £8 consisted of 8 individually filleted anchovies, £1 a fillet is day light robbery.. Other than that delicious

An absolutely brilliant place for a solo dining experience. I asked my friends and it was unanimous that I visit this institute. I arrived shortly after it opened at 12.30, and was told they could accommodate me at the bar. I was ravishing and gladly obliged. It was so nice as I got to have friendly chats with Megan and Freddie at the bar, who were enthusiastic and in good spirits. They made methe best drinks and Coffee.I went for the sirloin with the roast dinner for my meal, and boy did it impress. It was flavoursome, and so filling. The meat was cooked perfectly, with the seasoning just fine. I was offered horse radish sauce and extra gravy *being a northerner I love me Gravy!* I would say to definitely visit but to book in advance - I'm told it can be a month! Or chance it like me for opening time. You won't be disappointed. Finally the galette dessert was heavenly I don't usually like cooked fruit but this was so perfectly matched with cream and ice cream. Did not have any faults and happy to come again with friends. Do not miss it if in NW5! H

Stunning rooms at the inn. Fantastic food. And incredible service across the board. We organized dinner for a party of 10 and booked several rooms. The booking process was easy, and the value of the per person cost of the set menu was great. Our server took amazing care of us, pacing the meal out slowly upon our request, allowing us to enjoy the evening. The Ellis and Keats rooms were both gorgeous. The aesthetic is carefully crafted and there are thoughtful details everywhere. I was a bit worried about storing our large cases in the Ellis room, but it’s been designed so that cases of this size easily slide beneath the bed. I would highly recommend the inn and restaurant and hope to be back to both!

It's a very British place where I really appreciated three things: the kindness of the staff, the cleanliness of the room and the toilet, the possibility of bringing dogs in tow. And the cooking? The chef could make better but in general the food was enjoyed, especially the steak. However, I will return because I really appreciate the restaurants where the staff are born and bred English. I'm Italian but I adore them!
