AVOID. AVOID. Food was reheated from freezer (cooked meat) and gave my partner food poisoning. My meal came with portions of it missing. Place obviously doesn't care about actually making proper food for customers and just taking money.

Wonderful Café, Kind waiter and a nice local change for a while, food was brilliant and well-priced. Good to come to on a Saturday afternoon.

I ordered the lamb shawarma and was sick within 15 minutes of leaving the place. The meat inside the wrap was bland and tough and in no way was fresh. My partner ordered the Cigale Special which arrived with parts missing. Again all components of the dish were defrosted and not fresh. Best part of the meal was the fries that came with the dish.

Wonderful little Café just off the main shopping streets so it is the perfect place to relax after running your errands. We were greeted by a really lovely person, Peter I seem to recall, who attended us with a great attitude and a friendly smile. Excellent food and coffee and all for a great price. A definite recommendation to all.

2019 Edit Two years later and I still get the same experience. Thanks Cafe La Cigale!2017 Original: Hidden gem on Castle Road. Friendly staff and great portions. Great space to escape the bustle of Eden street, chill out and people watch.

Decent cafe in a quiet side street in Kingston. They do an excellent full English with great coffee. Their stuffed baguette with bacon cream cheese dip also good. Outdoor seating is available.

Probably one of the better Cafes food wise on this street. Full English was nice enough and my son enjoyed his omelet.
