Called in for a drink whilst staying in London for a few days. It was busy but the staff were very helpful and we managed to get a table inside. The pub has a nice traditional feel and the beer garden looks great for the summer!

I was there with my friend Mon for my friends birthday. A few of our friends couldn't make it due to covid but the pub were so accommodating. Im a passionate food lover and the manager Tom made sure i got a full mouthful. Thoroughly enjoyed my evening and service was excellent

Visited for lunch. I was well serviced by the staff. I enjoyed very much munching on the beef. My wife loves cocktails. I will be visiting again when I holiday in London again. Thank you.

I’ve been coming to this pub for 20 years, had lunch today for the first time in ages and the food standard was not great. The scotch egg looked like it was all dried up and not fresh at all as you would expect from a pub like this. The veg looked like it had been cooked again and again before being served up. The drinks we’re great as always but I won’t be retuning for food again. This pub is part of London’s blue print of pubs and the food needs to be improved. I’m sorry , I never review things normally but I think you need some feedback.

Really lucky to get a table here for a late Sunday lunch. We had the roast beef and pork belly. The beef was a bit over done for me and a bit expensive but overall we enjoyed it. The staff were friendly despite being rushed off their feet. Would return if in the area.

This is one of the places where you take an American and say London has great food! The Engineer had a unique assortment of beers and a menu to suit anyone. There is an outdoor area during the Summer and the interior is filled with friendly locals. This is where I always go after a walk through Primrose Hill.

We had our Christmas meal here in December 2021, in the upstairs function room. Due to new travel restrictions being introduced, some of our team members were unable to make it, so I had to call and change the number of guests, and the date if possible. I spoke to (I think) Tom, who was super friendly and helpful, and was able to switch the dates for us with no issue and made it seem like no inconvenience at all!We had the preset menu options and they were all absolutely delicious! The staff were excellent, particularly Louca and Noemi, who were super friendly, helpful and laughed at our terrible jokes, and despite the fact we were in our own room upstairs, were always on hand if we needed more drinks! Can't recommend enough! This was the first time our team had been able to get together in so long, due to the circumstances in the last couple of years, so thank you from us all for making it such an enjoyable evening! From the Buzz Radar Team!

What a lovely little pub just off the canal. Had a great rib eye steak there and joe and the team really made us feel welcome. They were very friendly. Will definitely be returning soon!!

Fantastic cod and chips, followed by an Eton Mess desert, that was totally heavenly. Service was very good indeed; fast and attentive. Been going to this pub for years and it’s always been excellent.

A friend had been here before and recommend it, so we stopped there for lunch. Like everything else at the moment, walk in scan and wait. We got seated outside, immediately took our drink order, then 10 minutes later someone else came along to take our drink order again. We explained we had ordered and waiting, so they took our food order. 30 minutes later we were still waiting for our drinks! We had to remind the staff we were still waiting. Drinks came along just before the food. The reason they get 2 stars is because the starter - sausage roll was actually delicious!! We found out they don't make them they get them from the local butcher. So whoever you are, amazing! Keep it up. Then the mains came along, I ordered the cheeseburger and what a shame that was! They had tried to toast the bun but instead burnt it. The meat was dry and even the cheese was burnt! It was like licking an old BBQ that had never been cleaned! Very disappointing. The staff didn't even bother to come and ask if everything was okay with our meals or if we wanted more drinks. We skipped dessert and went to another pub for more drinks. Poor service, poor good, just poor.
