Superb steak. Perfectly cooked and well seasoned. Service was a touch slow but this didn’t detract too majorly from the overall evening.Would recommend.

First time in Gaucho, I can say that we had the most delicious steak ever, compliments to the chef. The service we received was so amazing. They made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing experience. Thanks to the staff who are very friendly and to the General Manager who gave us a complimentary digestif drink 😉Cant wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in London. Highly recommended

The food was good but the rest was not so good. We had to wait to be seated even if we had a booking. I got the starter 5 minutes before my partner starter. It really smells worst and worst from the grill because it is an open kitchen. If u want to do so (which we like) you must have a perfect ventilation... the price was expensive !!! And we had to wait to get our jacket back because nobody was there to take care of us....

Shocking service. Birthday ruined. Left being totally ripped off. What a terrible experience. Booked a meal for our daughters 21st birthday and a catalogue of bad service from start to finish. The guy serving us had lost his voice so couldn't communicate with us other than whispering in our ear. We sat waiting for 40 minutes waiting for drinks and had to go and ask at the bar and alert the manager to get them. They'd obviously been sat at the bar for 30 mins so were just water.Despite alerting the manager to the poor service it got far worse. When the food finally arrived the order was wrong, missing items and steaks wrong. My daughters order was completely wrong so had to wait for it to be re-done and by the time it arrived our food was cold and items were still missing. One of the fillet steaks was totally inedible.Again we spoke to the manager who just kept saying he would sort things but made no intervention to make our experience less than awful. The items missing did eventually turn up with some hot but most cold and inedible. The whole experience was shockingly bad and we paid the bill just to get out of there. How you can get so much wrong is beyond me. You ruined our night, you ruined the birthday celebration, the manager just was not bothered. If you're charging those prices then up your game as McDonald's have better service than you.Truly awful.

Booked in for dinner after a days sightseeing, 2 adults and 2 young teenagers. Very nice welcome and cloakroom available should you need for jackets and bags. Very nice décor and ambience. Service was good and food excellent, we had one kids steak and then a mix of dishes including a very nice cookie dough dessert that was excellent. All steaks cooked very well and food was tasty. Would have given 5 stars but we had to ask twice for a missing side of chips and unable to have coffee with desserts as machine was broken. Would visit again

One of my best steak experiences. Excellent quality of meat and perfect grilling. It was juicy and medium rare to the perfection. The service was top notch. Excellent place. I am going to come here again soon.

The food was very tasty, the drinks reasonably priced and the staff very professional and kind. However despite a written request for special booking as I was celebrating my birthday, and a reminder call the day before, I have been forgotten about and have not received even a candle.DO NOT GO THERE FOR SPECIAL CELEBRATIONS.

I decided to try out this recently relaunched Gaucho on a Friday night for dinner with my friend. The decor, lighting and ambience is perfect. There is a bar upstairs and the main restaurant is downstairs.Having made a prior reservation for a table, we were sat at a bar table facing away from the main restaurant and subsequently asked if we could be moved to sit with the rest of the diners. Having waited half an hour, we were then given a table in the main restaurant area.We had the set menu. The cheesy bread and chimichurri butter was very tasty and the starters were good. We had the salmon potato salad and scallop ceviche which were both light. For mains, we had a sirloin which was full of flavour, and the rump which was relatively tender, both with chips. I have had better steaks at other Gaucho restaurants and also more recently at Hawksmoor. Finally for dessert, we had the meringue and Affogato which were good choices.Overall, the food was ok but the poor service we received over the course of the evening ruined our experience and I won’t be returning to this branch anytime soon. Whilst they have recently relaunched, I feel there is much work needed on the staff attentiveness to keep customers happy.

Four of us arrived around 6:45pm and apart from one solo diner we were the only ones there! It did perk up with more people at the 8pm mark. The table was also rather tight - more suitable for 2 than 4 people. 3 of us opted for the set menu which is quite good value and there's no doubting the quality of the beef but I asked for my ribeye medium rare and got half the steak rare and half the steak medium! Considering this is meant to be a steakhouse this was rather disappointing however I can't fault the service. The meal for 4 with wine cost us roughly £180. Would I return - probably not in a hurry. The beef quality is good but the way they cooked it not so much.

We arrived just in time for our reservation and the host at the door was pleasant and smily. She took our coats and bags and led us down to the restaurant. It was dimly lit and intimate. Spotlights are used so in one seat, you're lit, and directly across from the table, you're not. The seats were fine. Our server was enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the menu and different cuts of steak. The board with the visual representation of the steaks was a great touch. He was attentive and our glass were never empty. The steaks were.... Ok. Not particularly bursting with flavour. When we asked for steak knives, we were told that we don't need them, as the steaks were tender enough to be cut with a regular. Although that was somewhat true, it did take away from the experience not having a sharp steak knife. The chips were nice, hot and salted well. The atmosphere was cool and the music wasn't too loud where we couldn't hold a conversation. Everything was just fine. Nothing special. Just right.
