Gaucho - Hampstead in Camden

Amazing food and great service! Was really good atmosphere! I recommend to book a table rather than walk in. The only reason why I don’t give 5* was because I didn’t like much the hosting.. We had mine and my husband’s birthday dinner, we walked in and they told us that wasn’t any table available this was on valentines night and we completely understood, they invited us to sit on the terrace.. and after few minutes they found a table that was available for 3hours which I found more than enough time frame to have a dinner.. Anyways, All gauchos are amazing and the food always 10/10 ! We had a great time and definitely coming back soon as is the closest we have around home! ✨

Fredericko was an amazing server! If you ever go, ask to be sat in his area! He was so knowledgeable with the wine and made us feel super special and welcome. The food was to die for 🤤

We went here for a special occasion. The option to sit at the cocktail bar and have a drink before being seated at our table was very nice. The cocktails were brilliant. The food was excellent and the service very good. However, I have to knock a star off because we were seated under a leak, so much so that a couple who arrived after us and were seated at the table next to us refuse to sit there and were move to another table. A meal for two that costs over £200 I wouldn’t have expected to be seated under a leak.

This was my very first visit to Gaucho and I have to day that I was throughly impressed!! The service was excellent! I was celebrating my birthday and the staff made me feel very special. They gave us 2 glasses of champagne and a small dessert which was lovely! Federico was our waiter and he was extremely professional and friendly! He helped to round up the pleasant dining experience! Nearly forgot to add that the food was lovely and flavoursome. I will definitely be dining in this restaurant again!

It was great to eat at Gaucho again. Steak tartar was delicious. Tira di Ancho 500g was cooked amazing, medium and juicy. Christian our server very helpful. Absolutely adore this restaurant. ❤️ the wine

Went for Sunday roast and had the bottomless option. It’s definitely worth it if you can actually eat a lot! The meat was incredibly tasty definitely good for a celebration

Best rib eye I’ve ever tasted, melted in my mouth. Salmon starter was also delicious & light. We sat in the garden which was lovely.Staff were very attentive and great location by Hampstead station.

I came in with high expectations, but they weren't met. Very nice starters, but such amateurish treatment of meat.The steaks were not rested. They leaked almost all their juices onto the cutting board they were served upon, because they were cut before they were ready. Also, the thick steaks were under-done, and the thin ones over-done, as if they were just all put on at the same time regardless of thickness. No salt or pepper shakers! Come on, some sea salt is really essential here.The sauces were good, the heritage carrots were interesting and fun, the chips were on point.Lovely atmosphere, and very friendly servers made it an okay experience overall.I don't personally appreciate the system of having insanely inflated prices, combined with a near-constant supply of discount vouchers. Nobody is paying £50 for a steak that is this mediocre.

The food was delicious and reasonably priced for the quality and portion size. There is an excellent selection of meats, sides and other dishes.The disappointing part was the dessert. I had issues with the sticky toffee pudding being dry and tasting stale. I heard other customers having the same issue so not happy with that and no discount offered even after complaining.Other than that, the experience was enjoyable. I'm not sure whether I'd return based on that. Was the steak good? Yes. Would I survive without going again? Absolutely. As far as excitement goes, it was mundane.
