Hudson's House in Camden

We found this restaurant through the tastecard scheme and booked a table for 5.30pm (pre theatre) on a Saturday night with little notice. It was a great atmosphere, low lighting, interesting artwork and great music. One waiter called Alex worked his socks off and one other came and went. We were given everything we asked for and when our food came and one person was away from the table they put it under the heatlamp to keep it warm. Food prices were very reasonable and a good selection. We liked it there so much we went back for drinks after the theatre. Will definitely look into the hotel it is based in as well as great location for Oxford St and theatreland

Nice food with large portions. Bar noise filters into restaurant but as the evening progressed this got less, making it easier for conversation.

Average food, average service, average atmosphere. I wouldn’t visit for the second time. The steak was overcooked, the fish and chips were greasy.

Meat in both steak and burger was burned without any other flavour. Giving extra star for crispy fries.

WOW. BEST. STEAK. EVER! Cooked to perfection. In fact, I couldn't fault any of the food we ate here! Highly recommend!!! Service was also really great!I recommend trying the Goats cheese and red onion tart, on-the-bone rib steak, and both the chocolate brownie and eton mess were all delicious. Thanks for such a lovely food experience!

Not the cheapest prices for lager but the atmosphere and the staff are fantastic and the location is perfect being just off the main thoroughfare so plenty of seats.

Watched the game here with my boyfriend and friends and had the best time! The steaks are a must try and the cocktail list was extensive. Would definitely recommend.

Went last night for the first time and had the most amazing food, it really was nice. We had the pre-theatre menu which was 2 courses (starter and main £12.95). You could also get a dessert for an extra £2.50, which we did. The onion and goats cheese tart you must try and the cheeseburger was also beautiful. Vegetable curry was nice but chickpea fritters needed something else in them as they were quite boring. Apple crumble had a bit too much cinnamon but was tasty. But my gosh the Eton Mess was delightful. YUM. My photo is a bit blurry but don't let that put you off. The service was extremely good and will be going again soon. I also loved the cosy vibe and the artwork on the walls.

Wonderful food! Seriously the best flavored bruschetta i have ever had and the lamb chops were cooked perfectly !
