Nice place to sit with tea and cake if u are by the window, sandwiches are nice, cakes are a little on expensive side, would be good if there was cake and tea dealsThe salads were expensive at £9 and were not covered in cling film so by lunch the salad leaves had discoloured and wilted

Probably one of the best views in all of London. Food isn't exactly great (personal opinion... people who visit tend to really enjoy their meals) because they mostly serve tea, pastries and bread with soup but I'd pay just to be able to sit on the terrace and watch the sun set. I asked and was told they'll start serving proper food soon so fingers crossed lol. Workers there too are just about the nicest people you'll meet. Clean too (they disinfect every table after every use). Definitely worth a visit. The original English experience.

This is my first visit to John Lewis in two years. Upon arrival, I note a decision has been made to stop serving hot meals. Instead you have the choice of toasted sandwiches and cakes, along with hot and cold drinks.I understand that JL's decision is safety based for both customers and staff. Nevertheless, a tad disappointing.

Was there today and had a chicken baguette flavour ok but the bread itself was so hard it was difficult to eat. Left most of that and had Coffee and Walnut cake which tasted great but was stale. Coffee was good.Very dissatisfied wouldn't return to eat.

The Place To Eat is The Place we visit weekly. Whether it's for a quick meal or a cup of tea or coffee and a cake there are very few better places. Quite a good view too! But avoid weekends if you can.

Loxated on the top floor of John Lewis Oxford Street, this cafe serves a a good range of high quality light lunches whilst providing a birds eye view of Oxford Street. There is outside seating if the weather is nice. Food was of high quality although you pay a premium for being in London and John Lewis and staff were courteous, polite and attentive. Depending on the time that you go you may have to wait for some food items (I ordered a toasted cheese sandwich) - the upside being that it was cooked fresh.Toilets were clean and well maintained.

Plenty of seating at lunchtime. Nice food, had quiche & salad + fries + soup. Good service though slow through cash desk, maybe why fries were cold.

Usually come here for coffee and cake. This time came here for breakfast. It was a good decision! The staff, as always, are polite and friendly.Went for 'make your own breakfast'. It was good to select what I wanted on my plate and to pay for what I wanted.2 × beans, 2 × mushrooms, 2× toasts, 2 × bubble and 4 × hashbrowns for £11.90 between 2 people.
