King of Falafel in Camden

Used to work in Camden and highly rated this place. Went in tonight to have a staff member laugh at me incredibly rudely and comment on my appearance. I ordered a falafel wrap as they used to be good and he immediately brought me one while laughing, not even wrapped fully in paper. I explained to him very politely (not that I needed to) I was travelling on the tube so I would need it to be wrapped like he had done for the 2 customers before me and he started laughing again and spoke with his mate. He then wrapped the wrap and said something to me in a language i unfortunately could not understand, AGAIN while laughing. Not the nicest feeling when you’re being perfectly polite and just paying for a simple wrap? When I got home very hungry as that was to be dinner for the evening, the wrap contained no falafel (will send photo also) which was what I paid for and ordered, just some old veg. I have no idea what the guys problem was but to be honest if he is taking offence to what anyone might look like (IN CAMDEN?!) I would suggest to move profession? Will never be going back.

Tiny meal portions and rude, aggressive staff member (in his late 20s). Not acceptable. Wouldn’t recommend.

Truly excellent falafel and halloumi wrap. My colleague and I try and visit at least once a week. He enjoys the falafel, hummus and chips, with garlic sauce. Friendly and personal service.

Can’t believe a £10:00 kebab was so small, there are much better kebab shops nearby … honestly move on : I was the very accommodating not exactly poor bloke in the tuxedo … cheers

I’m quite the foody, and I won’t lie - this is THE best lamb meat AND falafel I think I’ve ever had

AVOID! 1 star hygiene official rating by Food Standards Agency. Ordered a falafel wrap, saw the guy wrap up using ungloved hand he later used for till along with gloved hand. Then looked up hygiene rating which confirmed my observation. I usually only review when something to recommend but this is totally off putting.

This has been my favourite place to eat in Camden since I came to London. They're always friendly and remember my order. The food is always delicious too.

Literally the worst experience of my life. Their cheesy chips were shocking.Their method of cooking is reheating some stale old chips in a microwave with something that was definitely not cheese. That's their version of cheesy chips.WOULD AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Very bad in dealing with others and food. Oh God, it was bad and disgusting and pizza was made in the microwave. One of the worst shawarma and falafel restaurants ever. Spend your money on something worth it or donate to the poor instead of buying from this bad restaurant

I don't really like writing reviews, but I have to say King Of Falafel is one of a kind. Tried their falafel recently and I have to say it was delicious and had a nice crunch to it, the food was spectacular no complaints about it, the pricing is very reasonable and its location is very convenient as it is opposite Camden Town Underground. The overall vibe and mood of the shop is great, the workers are very kind and always use their manners. Would recommend 100% if you stop by in the area.
