Do you like Japanese barbecue? In Hong Kong, we have a tradition to visit friends and relatives during Chinese New Year to do New Year greetings. To celebrate Chinese New Year, my friend suggested to have Yakiniku (Japanese barbecue).@kintanuk📍 34-36 High Holborn, London WC1V 6AEWHAT WE GOT🍖Enkai Course (for 6 people)🥩Beef Tongue🥟Apple Gyoza with Ice CreamEnkai Course included 5 starters, 7 BBQ items and dessert S’mores (grilled marshmallow with biscuits & chocolate). Among the starters, I loved beef sukiyaki bibimbap, which served in a hot stone pot, the most. Hot, spicy and sweet with crispy rice. The BBQ items were fresh and in perfect portion. The marinates were great. Finally, we finished them all with 2 pitchers of Asahi. So full😅How’s the desserts? See my next post on Instagram @ccgyozalover for details 🤗We did enjoyed a nice evening there for CNY catch-up. @kintanuk has a great atmosphere, delicious foods and friendly staffs. It’s defo a good place for gathering or even on dates.

Food here was delicious and as authentic as it gets in London! I was pleasantly surprised that I could find good Japanese bbq here in London. I really enjoyed the beef tongue and the beef slices. Price wise it is quite decent as well. Not the cheapest but it’s value for money

Haven't been since covid, and I understand it's close to Christmas but the staff weren't that attentive. We had to wait a while to be seen too.We only got 1 glass of water so had to ask for another. When we asked for certain dishes that give you options of marinade they didn't ask... if we didn't know to ask we probably would have got just whatever. Now the good part and why I actually went there! THE FOOD 🤤They have few new dishes which were delicious!Duck breast in miso cant recommend enough! And then the garlic noodles mmmmhhh!!! We scoffed that down so quick! And used the leftover sauce as a dip.All the dishes were still up to the same standards before covid and are reasonably priced. Will defo go again and hopefully with the rest of the family.

Great atmosphere, delicious food, and fantastic prices. I'd definitely recommend coming here with all sizes of groups, on dates, or business meetings.I've been multiple times and have never been disappointed. Great place to introduce new folks to East Asian food as well.Definitely recommend trying out the Plum Wine, the Beef Sukiyaki Bibimbap. and you cannot go wrong with the Yaki-Shabu Beef.Plus they've a really great offer on Sundays (perhaps Saturday? not sure), with a fixed set menu for Brunch. It's like a double happy hour.

Friendly staffs, really good service. Good portion of food and value for money. We were really full, stuffed our face! The dipping sauces were just alright not enough choices. I asked staff for fresh garlic and chili which is not on menu. He so helpful and gave me for free.We didn’t like Harumi beef which was so chewy, couldn’t eat it. We told staff about it he didn’t charge for it. We will definitely come back and recommend to friends.

It was my first time eating BBQ outside of Japan and I must say it was satisfying. The meat was of good quality and there are a few choices of vegetables as well. The waiters/waitress were kind and the atmosphere is nice. It felt like being back in Japan!
