Lansdowne in Camden

I used to frequent the Lansdowne pub many years ago, and was in the area so decided to visit for something to eat.So sad to see that what used to be such a wonderful establishment has really gone so downhill.Staff were far from friendly, ordered a coffee but they had no milk, which could of very easily been bought from a nearby grocery. So was offered oat or have it black.Pizza was fair but very uninspiring, the chicken Scotch egg was microwaved, hard, dry and tasteless, and with the bacon jam as advertised , The chocolate torte was absolutely disgusting, a slushy angel delight texture with cheap chocolate chips, oddly served with a cranberry sauce, and cheap tastless iced cream almost something you would buy from Iceland, hardly gastro.Very very dissapointing.

This is the kind of pub i want to live near when i’m older - warm n friendly and friendly n warm. It also taught me a very important life lesson:I went a few years ago for drinks with mates before a gig. Before leaving I ordered one last round of margaritas to get things shakin’.7 margarita pizzas turned up at the table to sober us up 🙃. ALWAYS SPECIFY WHICH KIND OF MARGARITA YOU WANT.

The worst food in London! Food was simply inedible. I ordered the chicken and prawn skewers which I assumed would be grilled chicken and prawn pieces but instead was a mashed patty of chicken and prawn, yuck! And they burnt leeks were cold, presumably straight out of the fridge with an odd red sauce. Hake for main course smelt terrible and not fresh and baked aubergine had no taste and terrible sauce over it. To top it all off very rude staff and slow service. Don’t waste your time and money here.

Don't bother wasting your time, complete joke of a pub..5% charge added to your bill when you go to the bar & order your own drink-never heard of this before & food is terrible, way overpriced & bad service all roundWould never return or waste my time here again!

Lovely local pub. staff are friendly and do a great job. Especially during the challenging times of covid.

It used to be a very good pub with great food and staff. We went there for dinner and the food was not edible and below average considering the prices. The atmosphere is nice but it's not worth it.

Absolutely wonderful pub. The assistant manager served us our first drink and I noticed a pre batched decanter of bloody Mary. Bloody Mary was it good!! One of the best I've ever tasted as he proffered a taster. Great service, lovely food by the looks of what others were chowing down on and a friendly laid back ambiance. Very much recommended

It was a good afternoon and catch up with friends. Food was lovely and staff were polite. Just a little over priced in my opinion. I was surprised to see that the customers were not as diverse but that’s not fault of the pub - just an observation. Would recommend it and would go again! Thank you

A super pub off down Gloucester Avenue. Lovely staff with a welcoming smile (imagined, in these days of facemasks for all!). A couple of casks on offer, Doombar and TT landlord. And a range of kegs too. Simple but tasty looking food available. A well used friendly pub. Good for a visit. I does have some unnatural advice, do not approach the bar! We live in uncertain times. Others have survived much worse so keep smiling and keep drinking!

Above the average British pub in terms of food. Many tables outside for those fee sunny days.We chose to eat the chicken sharer and everything tasted great.Sweet ports potato fries and humus were excellent.We also had a Caesar salad with anchovies.Service was fast and everyone very polite and always responsive to our requests.I would definitely go back.
