Average food and coffee. Good portion sizes but the scrambled egg and bacon sandwich was pretty dry and stodgy whilst they also got the order with. Shame as it's got a cool interior and the staff are friendly, food just isn't up to scratch.

Food's good, friendly service, big windows. Coffee isn't terrible. Music isn't too loud or obnoxious. Hardly very crowded in my experience. Closes early, though. Overall quite nice. Good place to study or chill.

Filling, greasy, comfort food. Might feel a bit stodgy after but hey-ho. Staff are friendly and good looking, and when I went in once someone had played fireflies by owl city, which to me is hilarious,.

had the large jerk chicken box to take away - was decent(ish), however it contained only a few pieces of chicken, one of which was a chewy joint piece - full of rice and cabbage and sweet potato (the stuff thats cheap) I found this a piss-take having spent nearly £7 on it - therefore 1 star

Not a single bad word to say about this place. A friend found out about it from a newspaper review and we made the short walk from work in the rain. The take-out pulled pork with brown rice and cabbage was fantastic value and so very tasty. Going to make a trip back there sometime soon and eat in as it's a great looking little spot and I'm going to pay attention to everything that's on the menu.+1 for the use of recycled/recyclable food containers

Loaf is a must. Boasting great service, simple food and wifi it’s a great place for a quick pit-stop. I’d definitely recommend the grilled cheese and jalapeño toastie with a pick me up cappuccino. The decor is quite nice: stripped back, quite fun with cool little stools.

They rarely get an order right, I asked for no butter obviously got butter. My friend asked for bacon avacado and brown sauce, she got bacon avacado tomato and no borwm sauce. Also they have swapped to cheap tomato ketchup...you can tell. Also avoid the crazy australian women...think she is on drugs

Wonderful friendly staff serving delicious food very quickly, which you can see cooked and prepared whilst you wait. A total find - I'll be back here very soon.

The pork/mash rate wasn't satisfactory. The temperature of the pork was good. The mash very tasty.

Sometimes the simplest things are best, which is what cafe/takeaway Loaf has focused on, with a menu revolving around bread! My takeaway avocado on brown toast was absolutely perfect (crunchy bread, peppery avocado) and at a bargain price too. It's all simple food (nothing fancy) - think toasties and sandwiches to eat in or take back to your desk. As an extra, the decoration's pretty cool, all vintage posters and chalkboards.
