Booked the mecure hotel Bloomsbury on the 27/11/21 for a party of 7 people for a 60th birthday celebration. The stay was just for one night thankfully. The 3 rooms we had were absolutely freezing, apparently the boiler had broken down so we had a tiny heater fan in one room that worked the other 2 rooms were told to use the air conditioner, but they didn’t work. The bar and restaurant was closed due to no staff apparently . And the coffee machine at the breakfast buffet didn’t work. The breakfast would have been ok if it was hot not lukewarm and the dining area itself was blowing cold air. We complained to the concierge who just shrugged his shoulders (that was his reply to our complaint) avoid this overpriced underwhelming hotel at all costs.

Not the best Mercure I've ever stayed at, I'm afraid. My room was a bit small and tired and felt like a tiny bit of modernising is required. However, I'm a member and had to use some of my loyalty points before losing them all. I used 4000 points and managed to get a room for £21.00.According to the Accor website, this is the nearest hotel in their chain they have to The Roundhouse in Camden (which is why I was in London), but that is still two miles north west of this location. Never mind, though, I got to see many parts of London I'd not seen before and it was a pleasant walk really.

Modernism of rooms is a zero. Total disappointment. Cleanliness is a zero as room was found in a discusting state. Had to ring bell to be let back into room for 20 mins as was after midnight. Would not recommend.

Great location but there’s definitely room for a refresh! Comfy beds, quiet rooms and good breakfast choices as well.

Central Hotel, clean and warm. Rooms a little on the small size but as we were out and about it was just to shower, change and sleep in.

Staff nice enough, room very small compared to what the pictures lead you to believe. Room smelt damp, clean enough view of all the air con wasn't pleasant and very dark n dingy. Air con in room disgusting and need a clean. Not worth the money. Breakfast awful
