Oka Restaurant in Camden

My boyfriend offered me dinner here as we decided to celebrate together. I phoned and they gave me the reservation for Friday the 3/12/21 at 19,30 (for Martina) and said to me that at 8,30 another table would come so we had to leave, since that was the only time we could go I was fine with it (even tho only 1hr for a table it’s quite tight) so as we enter I go to the table and the receptionist (red hair) advices my boyfriend again “just remember you only have an hour” well that made him nervous as it was not the most pleasure phrase to hear before eating. Anyway we have eaten in quite a rush as they kept asking if we needed something else and clearly needing to have us going, meanwhile the table behind us also complained for the same problem as the three receptionist kept them rushing and asking for the bill. Anyway we eat the last dishes and I happen to find a hair into the chicken so I immediately tell them and they took all the plates away without even asking if I needed something else or having the new dishes again (of course it was 8,30) so we left. No even goodbye or apologies by the two receptionist at the entrance; I did tell them that we had a terrible and rude experience and all she does is smile at my face and says “thank you”. Pretty disappointed given also how expensive the place is. Not recommend if you’re looking to have a nice relaxing dinner, over all the good is great just careful for the hair in plates, not so pleasant.

Excellent food, ambience, service and had a wonderful time here. Food came quite quickly and the servers were very attentive (woman with curly red hair and woman with brown hair in ponytail were so nice to my boyfriend and I). Will definitely be coming here again - highly recommend!

This place has lovely food, very accommodating staff and only slight downside is that they charge quite a high corkage for bringing your own birthday cake. They were flexible with our booking and kind to the kids. All in all, well worth a visit.

Nice rice bowls, fast service. Will come back

Great customer service, lovely ambiance and great food. My group and I ordered Kung Pao Chicken, Egg Noodles, Sushi and; Lemongrass and Ginger Chicken. They were so refreshing and delicious, and had a lovely balance of spice that I look forward to coming back the next time I am in the area. I recommend this as a place to visit! Please note that as the restaurant is quite small, it is best to book a table in advance to ensure a place.

Beautiful sushi and food. Not cheap but v tasty and great quality

Fantastic sushi & sashimi! Great service and a nice ambience. And they use real wasabi instead of green horseradish paste! The prawn tempura was wonderfully light with a lovely sweet chilli sauce. The dragon roll was much bigger than expected and tasted divine! Oh and the baked cookie dough & ice cream was unctuous and the pear sorbet a delightful palette cleanser 😋Thoroughly recommended and the prices didn't seem too high for London compared to up north (we only visit infrequently).

Amazing food. Everything I tasted was amazing. Can't wait to go back X

Oka was a recent find for me and my wife and since then, we have been there plenty of times. The food is always amazing and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. Food is served very promptly and always fresh. This is a gem of a spot and we will definitely be coming back again and again!!

One of best kung pao chicken i had in recent times. Definitely recommend it for chicken lovers. I was a bit skeptical about the Salmon roll but man oh man they have suprised me again. I am in love with the Salmon here.
