A nice fish and chips restaurant in the heart of Camden. Portion was huge! The food came fast as well. You’ll be full! Make sure to come early or otherwise you’ll have to queue.

I absolutely love love love Poppies. My favourite still remains the fish cake, cod and mushy peas. The staff is absolutely amazing, always so kind and helpful. I am so addicted to this place. Highly recommend. The best fish and chips SERIOUSLY! I even ordered a dozen fish cake and mushy peas to freeze, they do freeze well. Just pop in oven for 20mins and its as good as freshly made!

as always, the setting, the music is a dream come true. The 1950s are alive again. We came from Germany with 9 months old baby. One waiter was quick and fun. There is a changing table. Lots of deco, posters, old things. Mittens at Camden Market. music fantastic. The fish was not salted enough, but hardly any waiting time. As always, we really liked it.

Tonight I ordered fishcakes and chips and a portion of chips costing a whopping £19.60I did this using deliveroo as it is difficult to go to the restaurant due to my disability. The food arrived very quickly but was cold, not warm cold the portion of chips was supposed to be large but we're the same as the chips with the fishcakes. Also there was a large bone that stuck into my gum I have added a pic and you can see blood on bottom from my gum.This wasn't the fault of the delivery guy this was the restaurant in camden. We rarely have a takeaway as it can be so expensive but I take exception to paying so much for food that tasted like it has been sitting in the warmer and this food was from the Warner, it wasn't fresh.Shouldn't have to heat in the microwave.

Got a takeaway from here this afternoon. The food was prepared and dispatched swiftly. I loved the packaging and the food was packed with great care. This was by far the best fish & chips I’ve tasted to date. Chips were out of this world. The Cod & Scampi had amazing crunchy batter and nothing tasted the slightest bit greasy.You’ve won yourself a regular customer ;-)

It was an awesome experience at Poppies, tasty fish and chips and wonderful staffs. The way they treat their customers is superb. Interior of the shop is very attractive and the food is very delicious.

Amazing!!! Authentic Fish and Chips, Chicken Pie, and side items. Above all, the service by the staff was extremely friendly and professional. They catered to every need of ours and even let us try out some drinks. Food deserves 5+ stars and the experience/ambiance is just awesome.Highly recommend checking them out.

Gorgeous vintage style fish and chip bar serving buttery, flakey cod and wonderful chips. Prices are about average, but the portion size definitely makes up for that. The staff are wonderful and friendly, and especially go out of their way to make you feel welcome.
