Porky's BBQ Camden in Camden

My burger was too dry. There was barely any sauce on it and I had to use ketchup to add flavor and alleviate the dryness. The burger was filling but it should be for the price I paid. Also, the guy that helped us was trying to subtly flirt with my girlfriend. Didn't catch it at first but when we left my girlfriend told me he was definitely was and it made her uncomfortable. I don't remember his name but he had blue eyes, brown hair, and skin as pale as a vampire.

Ive been meaning to sit in this nice little spot in the heart of camden for a long while but never got the chance. But today I did, the name Porkys makes you think its all pork and nothing else but I could not be more wrong.I had the pleasure of chatting to the manageress Alex who told me that they are in the process of adding to their menus, smoked chicken, Onion rings and Mac and cheese “yum” I honestly cant wait because after tasting the food today I am going to be a regular.Today I had ( Buffalo Wingswith their famous hot sauce and served with celery and a blue cheese dip)I also had a Buffalo Chicken BurgerSpicy buffalo sauce, jalapenos, and blue cheese. 2 free-range chicken thighs marinaded in butter milk and fried with spiced breadcrumbs, served in a bun with iceberg lettuce and homemade tomato relish. Buffolo Chicken Burger, wow delicious. I took the opportunity to try the (Kung Pao wings, covered in asian spicy BBQ sauce, coriander and crispy onions)I don't know why thought I could eat so much but I also had the fully loaded fries, be careful if you don’t like Pork because it come with it but Alex made sure she warned me so my serving was without the pork.The serving was amazing and I could not finish it alone. All of those flavours excited my tastebuds, it was truly delicious.The atmosphere in this branch is so very camden, beautifully laid out and spacious with plenty of space between tables. In the summer you can sit outside as the whole front opens out into the street, or for more privacy you can sit in the back in the well lit outside area.The bar has a great range and the staff make amazing cocktails. The staff are great and very attentive and friendly so you fell well looked after. All in all I really enjoyed the food and will be back with friends. How to get there, if you come out of Camden Town underground, turn right and walk towards the market, walk over the bridge and keep going and its opposite the entrance under the railway bridge. We had not booked a table in advance but the staff at the bar welcomed in a very friendly manner and made us feel welcomed. He quickly cleaned and made a table available for us.Food were served very quickly. Tasty food. Vibe was lovely and the staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. I had a veggie burger which was equally juicy and filling.

I didn’t actually go to this one I went to the one at bank side, but I had my table waited by someone called James who usually works at Camden branch. His service was beyond excellent and made the whole experience even better. The foods great too .

Highly recommended.They actually do good stuff here that tastes like stuff you get in the southern US.had the pulled pork sandwich and it was seriously like I was back in the states again.So i really recommend this place 5 out of 5!!!

Good vibes, hearty, good-sized portions.We must have gone during the last setting so I can't speak for the atmosphere. That said, we were all happy with our food. Good solid BBQ munch and cool staff. During peak hours I reckon this place is buzzing. I'd have guessed it was a bar if it wasn't for all the tables. The food was solid eitherway. Thanks guys

My brother and I popped in for dinner before going to a concert. We were welcomed in a friendly fashion, seated and served in good time. My brother had the brisket burger I had the mac and cheese burger and we shared a plate of loaded fries. All were excellent, juicy and full of flavour. Heartily recommend if you like low and slow bbq

I often take my friends to this place with my warmest recommendations. I visit this place often. This recommendation is always successful. The meals are great and the crew is efficient and cooperative. Every time we go to this place we pass a lovely time. I warmly recommend this restaurant.

We booked well in advance, based around the reviews I could find and after visiting the website. As we were only in Camden Town for 1 night and not local to the area, we wanted a relaxed and informal meal for a corporate meal, party of 5 and were ideally looking for a local independent.The service from James was excellent, from start to finish, he was unique and attentive and seemed to actually have a passion for providing GREAT service, which is becoming more and more elusive to find!The food was very good. A simple, but really well executed menu, emphasis on great quality ingredients, cooked very well. The Burgers were some of the best any of us had tried and food is very reasonably priced - Would definitely recommend and will certainly visit again!!!Nailed it.

Update: just to be sure this place is good, I visited this place a second time. The wings - are RIDICULOUSLY GOOD. I also tried a simple cheeseburger and have to say it was in my top 5 burgers of all time. Why? The beef brisket is incredible. You know a burger is brilliant when you dare not put ketchup anywhere near it... Cos you Dare Not spoil the taste. Some have said the drinks are expensive... but if you stick to beer and wine - the prices are the same as most pubs and restaurants in the area - not crazy. If you’re thinking about it - stop thinking - GO!!!
