My first choice when it comes to Italian in West Hampstead. Delish and reasonably priced. Cocktails here are also exceptionally good, even better than some of the bars around the area and also reasonable just like the food.

I am going to give this Italian neighbourhood restaurant 5 stars, and here's why.First thing, full disclosure. I have visited this place many times over a period of a few years. It gets 5 stars because the food is consistently of good quality and delicious. My rating reflects combined experience over a period of time. When a restaurant delivers time and time again like this, you know they are doing something right. And my impression is that it attracts a steady crowd of visitors.One thing I would say though is that a couple (but by no means all) of the staff could, to a new visitor, come across as a little bit surly. I can see how, if it's your first time dining here, you might see that as a bit off-putting. But all I can say is push through, you'll (hopefully) love the food, and will want to come back. I kept coming back and will continue to do so in future.

Have been coming here together for the past three years and had good experiences but unfortunately had a bad experience recently. Usually a lovely experience with pizza - thought I would try something from the pasta menu (gnocchi ai porcini) but wish I hadn't. The food came out alarmingly quickly (about 10 minutes after we ordered) which made me wonder how fresh everything was. Gnocchi looked and tasted homemade but the sauce with porcini was appalling. The beef tasted like it had been frozen and reheated and porcini limp and lifeless. End result made me feel queasy. Service was curt so felt it best to get out quick and not go through the hassle of complaining. A real shame as have had a great time in the past but unsure if we will now return.
