Being South African, I had high expectations and the experience was just ok. The service is brilliant, food nice, but setting is quite gloomy which is odd considering all the natural outside beauty South Africa is known for. I can see the appeal if you are there for a night out though.Pork was good but the description on the menu wasn’t quite what we got - no apple sauce and more carrots than savoy cabbage (if that even was savoy cabbage). The panna cotta was delicious and tasted like jelly and custard. Cheesecake didn’t seem baked also but was nice still.

The restaurant decor is just amazing, it's huge, every chair, wall, statues are different, a whole other level.Food is exquisite, exotic, and has many choices. Cocktails are nice and I was even more amazed by their deserts! The right amount of sweetness and perfect for 2.The staff are super friendly & very laid-back, yet they attend to every need and come to check if everything is up to our liking.Looking forward to go there on a night with live music!

The food was delicious, the service was excellent we had crocodile, ostrich and beef burger all with chips plus a free drink each all four of us had a fabulous meal would definitely recommend this Turkish restaurant it is not all spice. I am disabled and the staff took me down in there lift we had NO PROBLEM the staff are fantastic.

Lovely vibe, beautiful aesthetics, and our server Omar was really nice. I had mince spring rolls for a starter , which were quite dry and not very flavourful. I tasted crocodile for the first time, but I wasn't really impressed by it. My partner had different started and main and those were quite lovely and so were the desserts. I think what it was, was that we booked using a deal, and those that book using deals have a different menu and there is no variety. I would like to come again and try the different menu as there seems to be a greater selection of food and drinks. I would defo recommend Shaka Zulu for an experience.

We attended an event 'Badu Brunch' for a friend's birthday. We had a set menu to choose our food from, I chose the sea bass which was delicious; the cabbage it was on needed a tad more cooking as it was too crunchy for my liking. The drinks (cocktails) seemed watered down, every drink seemed to of been made different and had to be redone; that was the only issue that was frustrating. The event ended with a bit of a party which was a good to work of all the food.

Enjoyed an amazing birthday there on a week day. The service was good, food was tasty and the venue itself is stunning. Definitely worth a visit, would check the menu before booking!

Absolutely loved this place. We went on a 3 course meal through wowcher for £59 for 2 oeople that included a cocktail which was very nice. The food was outstanding and the temperature of the food was spot on. We had to pay £6 for each side dish we ordered and to upgrade your meal to steak, buffalo or crocodile steak was a extra £10 each but so worth it. The decor is amazing and the staff very nice, friendly and helpful. It was my son's birthday so I called in advance to tell them and when they brought our deserts there was a big happy birthday written in chocolate around the plate and the cake had a candle in it. Thanks Shaka Zulu for such a great night. We will be back!!

Date night with the BF. An impressive looking South African restaurant with a varied menu. The staff were friendly and accommodating and didn't rush us at all. Not the cheapest place which you can expect I guess but we had 3 courses and a cocktail deal which was great so worth checking that out before you book. I do think £6+ for a bottle of beer is a bit steep though! The exit is a little weird as feels like you're going through the back door but not the end of the World.Overall...worth a visit!

Superb! We had a virgin experience voucher and had already read some negative reviews so went with open mind. However we had a lovely evening. Firstly Shaka Zulu is an amazing place! Staff were great, there was a special menu but the cocktails included were decent, food was delicious and did not feel any need to upgrade, it was just £6 for a side each but they were large portions so could’ve shared. There was a service charge on but we’d had fantastic service. I couldn’t fault anything. The only thing I’d say if you’re giving someone the voucher it could be awkward if they weren’t aware of the extra things. Shaka Zulu itself was superb and highly recommend this venue.

Very nice venue spacious situated over two floors. Each floor has a bar area. The decor was fantastic. We were part of large hen party. The food was very nice but the customer service was terrible. I don't know if it was because we were a part of largely group not enough staff. it's a set menu for larger groups. We had to order ahead of the time and we still had to wait a while for our food.Round about 10pm the music is turned up and a saxophone starts playing, it dance time now. It a good atmosphere worth going.
