We thought it will be more 'kids friendly' but it is not! The menu is not clear and not flexible at all. Not recommended if you are less than 50 years old

Post First Aid training pints which were well deserved, and what a pleasant surprise this place was. Delicious pints, clean venue but the service, stunning! Nathan was a true example of a landlord. So nice to be served by someone that cares with honesty. Thank you Nathan!!

Good drinking pub. We ordered a platter to share which was a bit sad but would try again. Menu looked great!

Really like this pub! Great choice of beers, nice food aaaand no music or TV! Great place and fantastic staff

First time in the Lord Stanley yesterday: what a place! Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, awesome Turkish Lamb pizza, Neck Oil on tap, loads of pub dogs and a free drink brought over whilst playing on their piano (Apologies for our terrible singer!) Will definitely be back, minus the singer perhaps

Having fond memories of having been in a few plays here about five years ago, I thought I'd stop by again.A friend and I walked in, looked at the beer selection and walked straight back out. What is going ON with your beer selection?! It's godawful. Woeful. You have a kitchen putting out some nice food and the space itself is pretty great. Why are you sabotaging your own business with the beer selection?Mass produced lagers such am Amstel, Sagres and others I can't recall. Guinness. Beers you will find in any average pub in London. Doombar (I think) which is terrible. I don't understand why it's in the majority of pubs.So why should people visit you, over the many other pubs in the area? The theatre? Well that has closed down. I don't know the details of why l, but I would guess it comes down to money. I doubt Theatre Collection chose to leave of their own accord, unless they were being stiffed financially. The food looks good, but wouldn't the experience be better if there were some decent drinks to pair with it?We went back to The Rose and Crown, from whence we came, which has the full package. A lovely space and friendly staff. The beer selection is incredible and couldn't be any better. The food is also lovely and reasonably priced. I'll be back in there soon but won't glance at the Stanley again. Sorry to leave such a negative review, but I was disappointed with what I found after a long absence. The drinks selection you have to offer is inexcusable. Surely you realise that many people don't bother visiting because of it?

Had a very odd experience which left me feeling very hostile and not welcome.I was in a rush to meet my friends and accidentally walked in the wrong area which I was later told was a walkway just for staff.I held my hands up, apologising and went to find my friends. When I then came to order a drink I was told I wouldn’t be served as ‘they have a policy not to serve rude people’. This is a policy I can get behind, however I don’t think apologising for a mistake is rude. I apologised again for any misunderstandings but was yet again told about this policy. It was a very odd experience. In the end my male friend bought the round, so I guess it worked in my favour. However it did make me wonder if the male bar Staff would of spoken to another male like this?

Lovely food, lovely drinks, lovely atmosphere, lovely staff, lovely live music on the pub piano later in the evening. This is a proper pub done right.

One of my favourite pubs in London. Good selection of beer, great pizzas and amazing staff. It tends to get busy quickly so arrive early, especially on those sunny days for a spot in the beer garden.

Brilliant local pub. Great food, lovely staff, always busy but can often find a table, and loads of good beers. Not cheap but worth it
