The upstairs is small but the downstairs is cavernous. It's an old pub (over 150 years old) but a young clientele and upmarket pub food at reasonable prices.

Went in just after midday. Very quiet which was nice and good atmosphere. Music a little loud but manageable.Nice menu with selection of classic pub grub. The ham and cheese panini was delicious and the woman who served me was funny and kind. There’s also a list of the beers they serve in the pictures.Toilets a bit of a trek and it’s a bit of a maze but they’re really clean and don’t have that standard underground Edinburgh toilet smell. Really chill vibe and I imagine it can get a bit wild later on. Decent prices as well.

Food was nice. No Internet for the ordering app and the bar guy wasn't exactly polite when I tried to order at the bar (due to table service rules) after explaining there was no Internet.

What a hidden gem! Beautiful food, cooked perfectly, very affordable for a family out for a pub meal. Brilliant staff, friendly, happy and courteous. I'll be visiting at least twice everytime I come to Edinburgh!

Three levels could make you confuse but at the end you will find your destiny 😊😄😃. Level under ground it's recommended when you want eat and Drink. Burger 🍔🍔🍔 was delicious but chip's were gorgeus. I will back there even only to try one more time that taste of 🍟🍟🍟.

It's a hidden gem 💎 in Edinburgh. We loved the food and enjoyed the lunch. Wrap, burger 🍔 was amazing and all food are very cheap as well. budget friendly. Try it worthy 😃

Enthusiastic bartender who encouraged try before you buy when it was quiet. Tried an ale from Stewart's Brewery around a fiver a pint. Soon got busy in here with about 30 students arriving. Good for sports and quiz downstairs
