5th View Bar and Food @ Waterstones in City of London

Had a lunch at 5th view, it was lovely and enjoyed my time here very much. Would definitely come back again for the experience.

Came here for a quick bite and thought it would be your average waterstones cafe... it was not. Asked for a minute to order and 15 minutes later we were still waiting. After catching the attention of the waiter we asked to order, he came back not once but twice to tell us what we wanted was sold out- though it was still early in the day so I question if they actually had any to begin with. When our "chocolate and orange tarts" arrived they were nice enough, maybe a bit stale (matching the damp peeling walls). Now the real issue arose: a small cup of coffee, 330ml of diet coke and two slivers of tart (that was our third choice) came to around £15. And they had the gall to add a 10% service charge? If I wanted to pay that much for the little amount we got, I would have walked the 5 minutes to Fortnam and Mason. Would not return and could not recommend. Its safe to say that "London's best kept secret" is infact, best if its kept as a secret.EDIT: I forgot to mention the table next to us, who were served out of date clotted cream and were not given a replacement when asked.

Service none existent we sat and waited 20 mins and did not get served. We asked to order and no one bothered to come back to us. Meanwhile another customer walked straight in and got served immediately. Terrible service will never try this place again.0

Charged a service charge, for really poor service! Overpriced and quite a tacky area. Staff unfriendly and didn’t know the menu

We were intrigued by the 2-4-1 sign outside of the Waterstone store and went up to try it out.It’s pretty nice, we tried the passion fruit elderflower Collins, the Kir Royale, the Strawberry summer spritz and the Stormy Mojito. The drinks were good. The service was nice, interiors were cool and not too crowded. And the 2-4-1 makes it very attractive.You will have a nice time.

Luv #cakes. Luv #books. Luv #London. All three in one place, slap-bang in the centre of London and with an enviable view (all the way to #towerbridge). I recommend tea and scones but have to admit that I was tempted by almost all the desserts. There were savoury snacks too but what can one do when one has a sweet tooth❓Get there if you can. Highly recommended if you're in #picadillycircus.Not 5 stars because I really wanted a Windows seat - so did everyone else‼️

Very nice cafe to get food and recharge the batteries while exploring the largest bookshop in the country. Relaxing atmosphere and friendly stuff.

Staff could be little bit more friendly. Had to actually ask someone to order a food, even we told our server to give us a minute (took 20 min!) Fpod was well presented and very tasty. Very nice view and confortable seating by the windows.

Decent food and very nice staff. Was tasty and quick with the order. Very cozy with different spots and genuinely everyone doing their own thing.A great place for a quick bite and to read a book you just bought from Waterstones. One the places I have been going to for years.
