Great experience. We went for the Taste of China tasting menu which was amazing, and the waiters are very attentive.Only real complaint is that it is ridiculously hard to book a table, and we had to book months in advance. We also had to rearrange several times due to govt restrictions which of course isn't the restaurant's fault but in that time the price of the menu increased by 46 GBP a head which is not small. That being said, once we arrived the experience was amazing from start to finish.

Really unique tasty food. We like to go for lunch as the dim sum is really something else. This restaurant is pricey but it's a nice treat as it takes months to get a booking.However, due to their new £100 per person policy it will be hard to come here again, due to the fact that we are not drinkers.With a big appetite and 3 people our bill comes to around £230~250 total, before service charge.I see no way of reaching the quote of £300 without alcohol or without overeating/ordering wasted food which is a great shame as my family and I really enjoy this restaurant.What I would normally give 5☆ for their food, service and presentation alone, unfortunately loses a point over the discreet discriminating new policy towards non drinkers.

Amazing.. managed to get a reservation for lunch dim sum, normally not a fan of dim sum but at had everything pictured.. unique my partner says.. friendly staff and cute setting.

Mostly brilliant! The service was absolutely outstanding and the dim sum definitely met the high standard. There are just two things I certainly wish it will improve in the future.1) The tea set was with a glass, I utterly get offended by the restaurant does not know about choosing the pot/cup! I understand the restaurant has so much creativity of choosing tableware, however, using a glass instead traditional tea cup is like taste fine wine but in a mug, especially the menu described the oolong tea is a very rare one.2) The chopsticks! They are using Chinese take away disposable kind. I originally thought they choose it because of the pandemic, so I actually asked a couple of waiter/waitresses, they just didn't answer it right away, only said they use them ever since.Overall the experience was much much way above my expectation, I would definitely recommend anyone give a go to try A Wong for 100% sure!!!!!

We had a delicious dinner here. The food is modern and refined, but flavours are still traditional which we liked.We had the evening a la carte menu and there is a minimum spend of £100pp on food and drinks. The snacks from the menu are very small and you’ll usually need to order 2 of each to have 2 servings.The stand out dishes were the Cantonese roasted pork, dim sum basket, wagyu fried rice and the steamed garlic prawns. The Mapo tofu and lamb burger were not very exciting for us, neither were the desserts.The service however was amazing and thoughtful. I’ll be back for sure to try the dim sum lunch!

Well... we went here as a group of girls as one of the girl's bday and I get really excited to know that we can get a table as they had the last minute cancellation.I'm a foodie and love to tried out all the hotspots and Michelin stars restaurant all over the world especially London/UK.But been to many I dont even know why this restaurant received a 2star Michelin at the first place.1. We arrived 15mins before the booking time. And I've never been to a restaurant that hasn't have a bar or at least a waiting area for clients . They told us to go outside and come back on time. So we had to sit at the bus stop in the freezing cold for 15mins2. We waited for ages for someone to come and take the orders. One of the girl ordered a xoxo cocktail which is £30 but she said it tasted like vinegar. I mean £30 for a glass of cocktail isn't cheap but we dont mind paying if it is good. We had to send that back. None of the cocktail were nice BTW.3. We ordered the whole menu as we thought the food must be spectacularly amazing so we ordered the whole main dish menu . Well oh well I must admit the SNACK , SHARING and DIMSUM were amazing and cause we were hungry then as had to wait for ages. But OMG as soon as the main dishes started coming in it was SALTY I mean we had to order 5 bottles of water and I never drank that many water in my life when going to eat out 🤣🤣4. The service isn't that great as most of the time we had to pour the waters ourselves anyways. I have been to Michelin plating not even Michelin stars and I received better service than that..5. Overall our bills comes to £666 which i dont think it is too expensive for a 2 star kinda cheap for a 2 Michelin stars and considering ordering the whole menu ( but left most of it as too salty can't eat ). We did mention how salty it was and the man was saying this is how they cook here so I assumed they just have a very salty taste 😁Overall it wasn't the experience we was hoping for it was so disappointed that we dont even bother ordering the desserts 🤣🤣🤣 which we had planned to order them all to taste out.The place is kinda really small and doesn't give u that chic feel. Really disappointed we headed to chinatown and eat some desserts there instead 😆 . Won't be coming back for sure hope the restaurant improved in the future

What a tremendous little place. Food and service were excellent. Each dim sum dish was special; fantastic flavours, smells and textures in each bite. Staff were helpful and knowledgeable about the dishes. Look forward to eating here again!

Went to A. Wong for my birthday celebration, this restaurant is the Louis Wonton of Chinese food. Having 2 Michelin stars, the price was hefty as well. We had the tasting menu and end up having around 20 courses of food lasting 3+ hours, that is insane! Every dish is presented beautifully and tasted great, it can be seen in the dishes that the chefs put a lot of thought in them, the stand-out was the Wagyu beef. The service was amazing, probably the best service we ever had, the waiters were passionate about their job, nicely explained the thought behind each dish and how they should be eaten.Now to the criticism, although there is a lot of attention to detail in the dishes and they generally tasted great. Not a single dish really blew my mind, which I do expect in a 2 Michelin stars restaurant. The restaurant is very small, there is a nice vibe inside the restaurant but the outside seating area where we were was quite plain and boring to look at. For the hefty price, it did not truly impress me but still was a decent once in a while experience.
