Took my daughter for the £3 lunchtime meal. I wasn't expecting much but wow! I had the fishcake nicoise with potatoes and my daughter had the hot roast beef sandwich with sides. They were both absolutely delicious and the ingredients were fresh and tasty. Even the salad and dressing were tasty and plentiful. Free soft drinks, then a large hot cappuccino with biscuit just as I like it and a tasty raspberry cheesecake. We were blown away! Excellent value for money. Lovely environment and very helpful and friendly staff. The best lunchtime deal in Halifax in my opinion. Well done to all concerned 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I ate here on a Tuesday, it was very quiet for 7;30pm - only us and one other group in. The music was like being in a club, not exactly background music, but it wasn't too loud where you couldn't talk. The menus were interesting, the drinks were good (apart from there being no olives to put in my Martini) and the food was ok. There were little bits that made it underwhelming, but it was overall ok. The Kimchi fritter was alright although there were a few burnt bits inside, and the chicken burger was a little on the soggy side - lacking that crunch you want from fried chicken. The sauce was lovely though, and the fries were nice. The staff were friendly and professional, the price was a little expensive but reasonable if the food had been the quality I expected. I will try this place again to give it a full experience, as just one time is not a fair chance. I'll add the updated review just at the end of this one here when I go next.

Incredible.Their brand new £3 express lunch deal is unbelievable value. We had a footlong meatball sub and hot roast beef sandwich, with chips.Followed by 2 sticky toffee puddings, which were chunky slices. It was spot on!£3 for mains (including a soft drink) £1 for a side, £1.50 for the dessert!

I came today with my family for Mothers Day lunch. The food was excellent very tasty, hot and beautifully presented. The service was lacking a little finesse just little things like spoons not given with soup and coffees. However the new manager and chefs are doing a brilliant job the food was second to none. Good luck in your venture I’m sure in time it will be one of the places to eat in Halifax. Thank you for a wonderful experience

Disappointing visit today, waited 10 minutes but no-one came to our table, so we ordered our drinks and waited another 10 minutes but still nothing so we left. Not the service we've come to expect from one of our favourite places.

Had my very first afternoon tea and it was terrible. My friend who was with me said that it was the worst she had had. The beef sandwiches were so tough that after attempting to eat one we left the rest.I gave 2 stars instead of one as another friend had the pizza which she said was nice. The staff were very nice and attentive but no comment was made when we told them about the beef sandwiches.

Well where do I start? The service is disgusting the staff are rude the food is awful you can get a much better service and food just up the road at weatherspoons for a lot cheaper price and a lot better atmosphere. Had a party with my friends and nothing was ready we had to wait downstairs because another party hadn’t left yet it was freezing upstairs and the staff was just stood about not doing there job my food was over cooked would not recommend this place at all I can not say one good thing about our experience sadly I can not give 0 stars or I would have

Excellent choice of food and drinks and not overpriced. Not too many there at lunchtime but I'm sure business will improve soon. Centre of town. Staff very helpful. Will definitely return

WILL DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND FOR A PRIVATE PARTY.DECEIVING. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. POOR QUALITY OF FOOD.We paid for an afternoon tea party for the children and a buffet for the adults. Unfortunately, Alibi restaurant did not deliver their part.No afternoon tea was set up. Half of the food from the agreed menu were missing (sandwiches, house salad and garlic bread). No fries for the children. The assorted cakes and desserts were very cheap. They changed our house salad to flat bread without even notifying us. Worst of all, the chicken curry and rice WERE NOT ENOUGH to feed the number of guests we paid for. Furthermore, the curry was all sauce and barely had any chicken in it. The rice was not cooked properly.Basically, what they served was an embarrassment! We made an official complaint and forwarded to them what was originally agreed. We even paid for their festive rate instead of the normal price. They realised their mistakes. However, instead of a sincere apology, the manager and chef tried to put the blame on us and our guests. They handled the complaint really badly. They offered a compensation just for the omission of the sandwiches which was very insulting after the damage they have done. We escalated it to the owner, but the owner wanted for all of us including the manager and chef to have a sit down meeting to resolve the issue. We just decided to take our money back for the omission of sandwiches. As much as we wanted to fight this further, it is just not worth the stress anymore. We were clearly dealing with a team who cannot accept their own mistakes and take accountability for it. They clearly do not value their customers. We HIGHLY regret booking Alibi for our party. It was definitely not worth our money! It really angers me how much we paid for it and how bad the food and service we got from it!Hence, this review was made to give a warning toothers.

It was ok, but that's really all I can say. The building, the decor and the staff were very nice, but the food was surprisingly average. Maybe this was because of the reduced Christmas menu, but there was no finese or refinement about the food. No garnishes, no presentation, no nothing. Having said that, the wine was good and reasonably priced.I think that I'll try it again in the new year to see whether this was just a glitch.
