Aphrodite Taverna in City of London

Very nice Mediterranean place for people who want to feel like being in Greece. The food tastes very good. The waitresses are all nice and very caring. I’ll come back again soon.

Amazing experience of Greek traditional foods in the middle of London. I had one of the best Kleftiko (slow cooked lamb and potatoes) I have ever tasted. Everything else on the table was spot on and the owner was friendly and hospitable, just like you'd expect from a Greek taverna owner. Highly recommended!

Beware, very disappointing.When you arrive the host will take great care of you and be very friendly, but as soon as you have placed your order the service levels will sink like a stone.I had the stifado, which came without chips, potatoes or rice, as advertised on the menu. And just a single onion. At £16 it was a very steep price for the size, quality and variety on the plate.My partner's moussaka was mediocre and lacked authenticity.When the bill came, there was a £5 service charge added, despite the menu saying there was a £1 per person service charge, so for us £2 total.We don't mind giving a tip where one is due but to add one to the bill deceitfully leaves a bad taste.We were rushed to leave after just one hour as they were desperate to recycle our table and get more guests through the door.Atmosphere is at least authentic and cosy.One to avoid, there'll be better greek restaurants elsewhere in London for sure.

This is by far the best paella in Valencia. Traditional and delicious food cooked to perfection. Family comfort food Valencia style. The best part is the atmosphere. A step back to what Spanish restaurants really look and feel like. You are treated in the most kindest of ways and made feel at home. The owner and staff deserve 5 stars!!!! Thank you!!!!!!

We had a lovely traditional Cypriot meal tonight. Cyprus is our home from home and the pandenic has kept us away for what feels like an eternity. We really felt at home with a warm welcome, and having a couple of Keo's made it all the more enjoyable. Yamas 😁

We love this place! Celebrated my birthday here. 😍🎂🍾 The food is great, and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. The food is Greek Cypriot and a good choice of dishes. Restaurant is located just off Westbourne Grove. Def recommend and will visit again on our next trip to London

Nice, cosy ambiance, with soft music, perfect for a quiet night with good food and drinks. I tried their meat meze. Great appetizers, even comes with some fish. As a Cypriot, I can confirm that their sheftalia was as authentic as it can get but was hoping more than two. The meat was a little dry for my taste but everything else was great.

Excellent service, really nice authentic place. Went in after a guy waiting for take out could not recommend it enough and had not stopped going for take out there. We had the spanokopita, houmous and a mixed grill. We also had some starters (olives, pickles, beans, radishes) and dessert (Turkish delight and sweets) on the house. If you like retsina they serve it here and their brancy was wonderful too. Totally recommend the place, only thing the grill was a bit small to share but for one person would be more than enough.

The food here is always delicious, with friendly and quick service. It's a little pricey, but worth it. The tzatziki in particular is the best I've ever had!Currently, there's an extended outdoor seating area, and there is spacing between the tables indoors too, with ventilation through open windows. It feels like a relatively safe restaurant currently.
