Banana Tree Maida Vale in City of London

As it is a local diner, I have been getting take away meals and dining in at Banana Tree for many years and last night the take away was not up to its usual quality. I called the manager Silvio and without any fuss told me he would offer two replacement meals on the house next time we were ordering. Today he very graciously honoured his promise and the meals were excellent once more. Thanks!

We used to live in Manchester and couldn't find a Pad Thai in London to beat our fave up there, but I think this place finally managed! The staff were super friendly and food came quickly too. Will definitely be going back 😊

Very recommended. Location is convenient, right next to tube station. The food is delicious and comes fast. The place is small, so its never extra crowded and has a cozy- familiar feeling. Silvio served us and was extra kind and welcoming.

We have both had take aways and eaten in plenty of times and have always been so happy with the food and the service. This time we ordered our food to be delivered and was firstly really disappointed that the vegan satay sticks didn't come with the leaf wrapped sticky rice as it should, just a little pot of rice, my steamed rice to go with my main course was so undercooked it was actually rattling in the container, practically raw. So this might not sound so bad but it was the attitude of the guy who answered when I phoned up to try and get this sorted which actually shocked me, first of all he refused to listen to me and claimed we had not ordered our food from this branch and then proceeded with being plain rude with no interest in helping his customer who had just spent £50 at his restaurant. Nothing was resolved as I didn't have access to the order number even though he had my order in front of him.This is not how you should treat your customers and we will unfortunately not be returning.

Friendly service, there are only two cocktails on the menu but they are both really good! Really yummy Thai food, always enjoy a good pad Thai. The gyozas are average but still nice, can’t complain for the price. Chilled atmosphere, would visit again.

Lovely staff, excellent food. Great vegetarian options. We had the vegan satay, corn balls, Thai green curry with tofu and pancake dessert. All Very tasty. Will certainly go again/try other branches.

Nice little chain restaurant right next to the tube station. Their staffs are always very attentive and friendly.Love their fresh juices and weekday lunch menu. Flavours of the food there are good and pretty authentic. Love their laksa noodle soup. pho noodle soup and stir fry basil beef rice are delicious too.
