I've been a couple of times in the early 90's and then again in the last few months and its still the same and I'm glad. All the costa's have taken over and there are no little places left with any character and community feel.I like to sit and watch people, you get all walks of life through the doors. The best tea I have had in years, proper tea leaves!I don't get why anyone would say this place isn't friendly, all the staff were polite and friendly and the chef was chatting to me aswell.Yes it's more expensive than the average cafe,I would expect to pay roughly 3/4 pounds less for a breakfast in my local area, but it is central london,it does depends on your budget but the food looks quality and it's the nostalgia that is getting more difficult to find.

Food was cheap but was no means a reflection of its portion size and quality! The portions here are huge and so tasty! Service was quick and very friendly. Will definitely be coming back again soon!

To be fair people who I went with were happy. I had a chicken escalope pannini. Took one bite, which was one bite too many. I guess the way they all sit in a glass display counter should have given me a clue as to how fresh they were. Didn't eat it but they were still happy for me to pay for it.Also if you enjoy good coffee have a cup of tea.

This place is amazing. The best English Breakfast I’ve ever had here in London. On top of the food being so delicious and fresh. The sever is AMAZING. She is so friendly and kind. Been here two days in a row now… if I wasn’t leaving I would come here every morning for breakfast.

Amazing food and really delicious. I enjoyed eating in here.

I have to say this place does great food at good prices. They have some great sandwiches here and orders come out quite quickly too. I'd recommend this place for lunch if you're looking for something filling and at good prices. They serve all day breakfasts too here.

This place is awesome. A real old school diner hidden in Soho. Great simple food, made by great people.

Best breakfast sandwich I think I've ever had. You know it's good when the people there seem to know everyone coming in and loads of workies visitWill be back next visit to London

Very informal place where you can also eat Italian food. The chef is a friendly Neapolitan who has been working in London for almost 50 years. He's a guarantee for who, without having great pretensions, wants to taste the typical dishes of Italian cooking. There's a waiter of Kosovar origin who speaks Italian very well. Prices are a bit high....
