Bistro One Ninety Queen's Gate in City of London

Lovely part of stay at The Gore. Food, drinks, and staff are all wonderful.

Old fashioned hotel. Only. Minutes all from the Albert hall, which was a huge advantage.Downside of the hotel was the ' drippy ' shower head in the en suite. Reported to reception shortly after arriving but still the same problem the next morning !! I'd suggest boosters to their 5th floor shower rooms (;stayed room 506 ).Breakfast service appeared to be chaotic, many staff on duty but seemingly little direction from the senior server ! Perhaps , new staff were in training ? Have to say that the staff were friendly and professional , which is always a good sign but it was the little things that, for me, makes a memorable visit. It.is a hotel with a long history but it shouldn't rest on its laurels, beautiful as it is.

Very special restaurant with great plates and special staff

Pre theatre dinner was incredible and the atmosphere was lovely. Staff were the perfect level of attentive.

TLDR; you will leave poor and hungry.My friends and I had the set menu dinner here before seeing a show, and for the price we paid, it absolutely was NOT worth it.£30 each for a main and dessert, and what came out of the kitchen was basically a couple of mouthfuls on a plate. Delicious, but left you hungry. One thin slice of Turkey, 3 baby carrots, a scattering of sprouts...You get the idea. The only thing they were generous with was the weird sourdough sauce to share. Our poor friend who ordered the vege main was given what I can only describe as an entrée.Dessert was similarly deficient. I got the apple pie and it was like they bought it from M&S.Add drinks (£40 per bottle of wine), and service charge on top of that, and you are left with a staggering bill to compound the void of disappointment.Will not be returning.

Nice restaurant for a meal before a show at the RAH. Tasty food, friendly staff, stylish decor.

Outstanding meals with attentive, friendly, and unpretentious service. We dined here after the Proms, and would very highly recommend. If there is one thing they could improve, perhaps the wine was a little overpriced, but everything else was outstanding.

Worst value for money ever…It just seemed to be the right place for a special occasion dinner with my partner, after Prom 74 at The Royal Albert Hall.We went for the pre-set menu, 2 courses: starter & main. Everything was pricey, but we were prepared to it, after all a brilliant location and a charming atmosphere come at a price…Yes, indeed, but not at that rip-off price!Pea soup, too green to be “traditional” and/or “natural” with a quenelle of white foam that I suppose is what they call “modern twist”.My partner ordered a so called “risotto” and let me say, as Italian, when I saw it, I had half a shock … My God what was that? Over-cooked/melted rice in a primordial soup… I couldn’t decide between laughing or crying. I was really pleased having ordered my 7 cm2 of pan-fried Haddock – served, again, with previously mentioned “twist”.What about the wine? Decent, indecently priced though: 30 pounds for 2 glasses…Definitely disappointing place. The worst value for money ever paid so far. And they even charge 15% for service… Never again.

Best and intimate room with excellent flavors in refined presentations. What else is needed?

Really decent restaurant. Staff were great, hotel also looks like a good place to stay in West London. Recommended for a set menu that won't break the bank and has all the trimmings of a restaurant twice the cost.
