For the food alone, I would return to Blanchette: unfussy, rustic French cooking in a suitably unfussy environment. At a glance, the dinner menu also offered hearty options with a sophisticated French twist: dishes such as Baked St Marcelin, truffle honey cheese and Sea bream tartare were amongst the starters, followed by dishes such as beef fillet or rack of lamb. The selection of dishes, the wine, the staff, and the food will transport you to what we love/miss the most. The prices are honest also which doesn't make it an expensive night out compared to other french places in London.Note: Please follow me on Instagram @gastrogezgin

Great staff- friendly and accommodating! And, nice bar for eating. First course. Pâté be croûte, pickled vegetables, lacked flavor and a little dry. 2nd course. Baked St Marcelin & truffle honey, come on, melted cheese and honey is always delicious. Main course. Grilled pork belly, oyster mushroom and blue crumble apple. The best part of the meal. Not too fatty and a great flavor combo. It came with frites which were soggy and flavorless, unfortunately. Dessert. Chocolate tart, very bad. Also, very limited wine by the glass . Bartender was helpful and knowledgeable. I would return and try charcuterie and cheese. Overall. 7 out of 10. Good 😉

Great for food, excellent for dates! I always love trying french places in London but being honest, it is finding a piece of France in london, and Blanchette is exactly what Blanchette is. The selection of dishes, the wine, the staff, and the food will transport you to what we love/miss the most. I recommend sharing loads of snacks/bites (5-6) or just taking bites (3-4) and sharing a plate. I also recommend directly for one of their good bottles to share with your friends and dates. The prices are honest also which doesn't make it an expensive night out compared to other french places in london. Everything will go to your mouth quite quickly when you are in good company. I really recommend it.

Had a lovely evening at the bar. Good food, wine, ambience. Friendly staff. Codfish with mussels and squid ink.

Great food, had the lamb and it was honestly amazing! The service was great and I really enjoyed my time here. Shoutout to the restaurant for letting us arrive later than expected and allowing us to pre order our food. Highly recommend :)

I found this little gem on a Saturday night- Last minute booking - the dishes were delicious, very well presented and authentic. The wine was perfect and our Alicante hostess was always friendly, attentive and helpful.

One of the best dinners I've ever had. The food was superb - who knew Comté cheese and honey would taste so good. We had pork belly for main and I could not recommend it enough, so tender and delicious. We finished with a passion fruit meringue dessert which was divine! The service was personable, warm and unpretentious. Thank you to our waitress in the striped cami, you were fabulous throughout. All in all, a little French gem just off the streets of Soho. We will be back to taste the rest of the menu very soon!
