Broker's Wine Bar and Restaurant in City of London

Rude owner. Totally unacceptable to say to customers "we told you already you need to go". She actually hadn't informed us in the first place but decided she wanted to close the bar earlier. No people skills whatsoever, and customer service is probably something unknown to her. Never going back and surprised how this place is still open.

Superb as always. Best hidden gem in London. Don't tell anyone.!!

Oh dear oh dear. What has happened to this place? Hilarious lunch which, luckily, my guests saw the funny side of too. Almost completely empty at lunchtime. Below average food, warm coke, pedestrian service (although perfectly friendly). Best give it a miss in future. A real shame.

One of my favorites. Paul is fantastic. Best hash ever. Go for that. Caesar salad is delicious. Ambience is perfect. I've never been disappointed.

Apparently "open late" doesn't extend to 9:30 on a Friday, though their sign was still in the street and doors open. No special event or something afaik; perhaps I lacked the right look.

Small place but good live music and drinks

It's a classic place, of a bygone era. Tucked away and low-key. Food is substantial and hearty. Veronica (the owner) is lovely.Charming, and as far away from a chain meal experience as you can get. Home to many florid-faced insurance brokers looking for a glass of claret and some escape from the rat race. Good choice of wine, beer and spirits (as you might expect, given its location). I like it a lot.

Perfect spot above and part of the beautiful market. Excellent wine list, will comment on the nice looking menu when I soon return.
