This Fullers pub is a relatively new addition to the Smithfield Market area, only opened in 1999 and a combination of a former bank and a wholesale meat supply shop next door.The interior is large and has been tastefully styled as a traditional pub, with a spiral staircase leading to a large upstairs balcony, providing a nice view of St Bart’s Hospital across the square.In addition to the usual Fullers’ offerings, it also serves Seafarers and Hophead on draught. A pleasant pub but I prefer its older, more authentic rivals.

Always a good choice. Good food and decent choice of dishes. Staff are attentive and polite despite the busy time of day. Went for Lunch and returned after work for drinks. Both times good service. Particular mention for Alex behind the bar, who looked after six of us at Lunch.

Unhelpful staff and poor organisation. Called in for a drink about 3.30pm, last Thursday. Not allowed to sit down as upstairs was closed and the only free tables were reserved. I can't stand for long so asked when the tables were reserved from and if we could sit there in the meantime. They didn't know so we sat down and were asked to move. Eventually a table came free that we were 'allowed' to sit at. When we left 2 of the parties still hadn't arrived so we could have sat there a little while. Not impressed.

A really friendly pub near to the entrance of Smithfield. Excellent pint of London Pride as well as a reasonably priced sharing platter. Sadly there were no pies to sample on Friday except the cauliflower hence the 4*

A great pub with a grand setting, loads of lovely, slightly over the top features including pictures, mezzanine, chandeliers and decorative tiling. Great fun, terrific selection of beers and wines. I'm sure the food is great too but I didn't try. The most intimidating aspect is the "well used" Butchers hook and cleaver! Note to self: Probably best not to fall out with the landlord. A wonderful visit, I recommend to all.

We had a meal here as part of our tour with Globus. Excellent meal, enjoyable evening. Great service. Want to go back next year when we return to London!
