Delicious pasta dishes, perfectly executed. Great bar seating options for couples with a relaxed and stylish ambience. Staff friendly and helpful. Happily recommend.

What a lovely place to have dine&wine. We spent the New Years evening here in this lovely restaurant. Great hospitality starts at the entrance by greeting you and taking your coats and bags then taking you to your table. Food was amazing and super delicious unlike some other so-called Italian restaurants. A wide range of wine selection. Staff working come and check you out all the time making sure all is well. Overall, a fantastic food and service is guaranteed. Definitely deserves more than a 5*

High quality, "old-fashioned" feeling Italian.I visited here with a small group of friends and overall had an enjoyable time. We shared two of the starters and had a main each, all of which were delicious!The only reason I've knocked the review to 4* rather than 5* was because we were sat in the front half of the restaurant near the doors, and found it to be very cold. Obviously the restaurant can't control the weather outside, but sat at our table two of my friends had to put on their scarves or jackets to help keep them warmer which tainted the experience for us overall.

Well what fantastic restaurant, the staff and (front of house) from the moment were went in couldn’t do enough for us, they were just great with our children Chatting to them having fun making them feel at home, the food was heavenly from the starter main course to the deserts absolutely sublime, if you haven’t been don’t hesitate to go and if you’ve got children don’t worry it’s a child friendly place, our waiter was Dexter young good looking lad, a true asset to cafe Murano setup, Angela Hartnett has something special here and we’ll be back again and again for sure. Thanks for a great night/meal

A fabulous evening at Cafe Murano St James. Great surroundings, not too busy on a Saturday evening. Service was first class, very personable and low key. Food was delicious, as were the cocktails. One of our party is vegetarian and their choices were just as good as the non-vegetarians in party. It was great to be out again and be able to dine at such an iconic restaurant which exceeded our expectations. Looking forward to returning very soon

Very high quality northern Italian cuisine, fabulous cocktails and courteous, charming and knowledgeable waiting staff! Loved it!

This was my first candlelit dinner with my partner and it was so lovely, I enjoyed it very much! Italian food is always a win for me so it was a difficult decision to choose on what to have. "Do I want to go for the pasta or the meat dishes? If I go with pasta, what type would I like?" etc. But we settled on our order and it was brought out not too long after ordering. It was delightful experience and I would recommend this place to anyone to try out, you'll definitely take away something special from your time there, have fun! :)P.S. their bathrooms are in such high standards! Do book a table beforehand, it makes the whole process smoother, the dress code, in my opinion, is smart casual so don't stress with looking very fancy, unless you want to, then go for it!

Lovely service, lovely food, lovely staff.I wanted the buratta asparagus starter but they have replaced it with a mozzarella and fig.For my main I had the Portland Crab Spaghetti and the best crab dish I've had in a long time. It's not over powering.For dessert I got the poached apricot with ricotta cream and walnuts so simple yet perfectly complimented the rest of the meal.Very calming restaurant and nice environment.

Outstanding venue, outstanding staff, outstanding food, and the Angela Hartnet red wine a particular highlight! Xx reasonably priced too. Always been a dream of mine to go to one of my favourite GBM chef judges restaurants, and this did not disappoint xx

Great Italian Cafe. Food was delicious as was the service and wine. Reservations recommended. They do have actual bar seating available for 2 person parties or less.
