We were informed that we could only be seated if eating, not just drinking then pointed to a table. I rushed off to the loo (which was clean, possibly the only positive about the place) and barely sat back down before the waitress asked if we were ready. We said could we have a few more minutes to which she replied "what?" ugh, I'm no manners police but it just represented the sloppy service there. The vegan pistachio cake looked nothing like the picture in that it was only 2 layers with a hard chocolate topping not cream with multiple layers. When we asked, the waiter just repeated "it's the vegan pistachio cake, it's the vegan pistachio cake, it's the vegan pistachio cake". My hot dessert arrived 10 minutes later than everyone else's and it was barely warm. Avoid this ill mannered, misleading menu shambles of a place

We visited this place yesterday .We really enjoyed the food but the waitress, who couldn’t wait for us to finish our meal, starting to collect our plates because we had finished. How rude and unprofessional we thought.Give the customers time to eat and enjoy their food . Don’t let them feel that they only have 5 minutes to eat and then they need to go!

I'm extremely disappointed with my visit to this branch, wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless there are some changes. There is no one to greet customers. Me and my friend walked in and waited to be seated. Both waitresses looked at us and walked away without any sigh of greeting. The atmosphere was really unwelcoming.I ordered Avocado and Salmon Tartines that was really good (that's why I gave 2 starts instead of 1). But my friend ordered Eggs Florentine that looked very poor.We were quite shocked by staff unprofessionalism. One of the waitress smoked a cigarette by the entrance, other members of staff sat next to us to have their lunch. I've never seen this in any other place of the same level. Please, train your staff.

My wife and daughter visited after a show to pick up a dessert for me to bring back to Manchester. The female manger was completely unhelpful and rude.Thank you for destroying many great memories of deserts together after a show!

Cake very nice, but staff generally did not seem that interested in helping customers when asking for assistance. Which I found unprofessional. This seemed to happen numerous times in my 45min visit.

Always come here whenever we feel like afternoon teas.

We ordered 2 cokes, 1 sandwich and a cake. They presented us with a bill for over £70. I told them this was the wrong bill and they bought us another incorrect bill. They had added 12.5% to the bill and when I asked for it to be removed I was told it was company policy. They did eventually remove it but for the service we had they were asking for far too much tip. I would be very wary of going in again.

Easily the worst afternoon tea I ever had. When we went in, there's no staff waiting to greet the customers so we approached them and asked for a table for 3 for an afternoon tea and he pointed to the table for us. I ordered afternoon tea for one and my 2 friends ordered afternoon tea for two. I ordered English breakfast tea and on arrival, it was a teabag and not loose leaf which I'm not too bothered with but would've preferred loose leaf, and it tasted exactly like Yorkshire tea. Afternoon tea arrived and there was literally just 1 piece (looks like a quarter of a sandwich) of a cheese and cucumber sandwich which was mediocre tasting and another piece of a chicken and tomato sandwich which was pretty good, then 1 bitesized cream cheese roll, and a bite sized egg roll, and both rolls are stale and tasteless. Scones are the consistency and taste of rolls rather than actual scones are they are very soft, stale, and bland. Clotted cream was served in a flimsy and tiny paper medicine cup which fell apart as I scooped it out. Dessert only has 3 cakes which are a bite-sized mediocre macaron, a bland custard pie with sour blueberries on top, and a sickly sweet chocolate mousse I couldn't eat half of. I ran out of tea and asked if they do refills, and the guy took literally 1 second to come back with my teapot and I poured it on my cup and realized he literally just refilled it with hot water and didn't bother changing the teabag which I'm sure was just a Yorkshire teabag. The whole time we were eating, not once did any staff come to us to ask if everything was okay and they dared charge us 12.5% service fee on top of £29 for afternoon tea for one and £55 for the afternoon tea for two. We ate in another Caffe Concerto branch before and they always asked us if everything was okay, but this branch's staff clearly didn't want to be there. This branch is the worst branch and worst afternoon tea I ever had, the ones we make at home are far more superior. Never coming back here or recommending this branch to anyone. Overpriced, useless customer service, and worst food quality.

Amazing little spot! Inside is so beautiful as well as the presentation of the food. The staff was so nice and welcoming, and the food was delicious. Happy we stopped!

Had a breakfast there this morning, staff are nice and worth five stars, food is OK. Price I am not sure as I am not familiar with the area, but a location at Shaftesbury Avenue will add up to the price I guess?
