staff are pleasant enough but the meal was awful. Had to send the (cold) steak back! (steak served with sauces but they baulked at providing basics like mustard)The wine was barely drinkable. All this for £45 plus 15% service! Better food at Wetherspoons.

The chicken in truffle sauce with broccolini is a stand out main dish. The macaron is delightful. Do not skip the bread with whipped sesame butter with the starters. Service is brilliant and personable.

Came here for a work lunch, it was really good. Great service.

·

Average at best. Service was good, food was perfectly edible but poor for the price bracket. £22 mains sloshed on a plate and served up with little creativity or substantial portions. The restaurant wasn't even busy either, not sure what's going on here but it's not worth it and there's more than a few excellent options a stones throw away. This place is a complete rip off and serving up average fare...avoid!

Nice food, friendly staff, house white wine was good.My partner received a complimentary meal for 2 from the restaurant chain and we picked Chiswell Dining Rooms to redeem it.It feels like they’re trying to make the transition from being a hotel/pub that does food to a finer restaurant, and they’re on the way to do it.They were pretty quiet for Friday night – so I’m pretty sure if you just wanted to do a walk in you’d be fine.

I just had a nibbles to eat. But pisco sour was very good, despite it was on the rocks. But tasted very good. Only one thing, service didn't bring cutlery even I asked again for it. Otherwise nice place

Excellent wedding venue. Great food and service

Went here for brunch with clients. It’s fine for a low key functional client dining experience. However, it’s not going to impress as: (1) service isnt attentive/ fast (ordered coffee before meal came and coffee arrived towards end of food); (2) classic hotel prices with sub-standard food (£14.5 for smoked salmon, eggs and toast. Fine to pay if it is with premium ingredients and well presented but none of these. Looked basic on all accounts)

I went there on a Thursday night just to have drinks, but we ended up staying for dinner. The staff was really friendly, the ambiance was also great. But most importantly I have to say that I had one of the best meals in a while (and I have been frequenting restaurants quite a lot lately). I had the cod, and it was just perfect. So tasty, and just the right size. I am definitely coming back to have it again.

This restaurant has pleasant decor, is clean, and has helpful staff. The menu is varied. The food is a little disappointing, however, with Michelin style presentation, but a failure to judge portion sizes properly. Some vegetables to accompany the meat or fish would have been good, for example. Not a bad meal by any means, but better places to spend the same amount of money.
