Superb dining experience. As a foreign visitor, I had been strolling around East and Central London all day, tired and famished. I chanced upon City Spice - it was perfect. The ambiance was soothing, the food far beyond expectations. But here's the real reason why I'm writing this review. As a world traveler, I was thoroughly impressed with City Spice' excellent service, the finest I have ever received--friendly, courteous staff always ready to assist. If you are seeking to dine in a quiet, romantic, relaxing spot that serves beautiful wines and flavourful food, City Spice is where you should go. I'll definitely give it another visit next time I come to London.

One of the best Indian restaurants I've been to! The cool atmosphere; from the music to the design and look of the place had made it a lovely relaxing vibe to enjoy my meal with friends. The food was incredible and it's in a great location too. So if you are shopping nearby in Liverpool Street/Brick Lane, it's not too far to walk. I honestly recommend it to everyone for a lovely meal!

So much food, colour and even more different tastes to munch through. Great service but ... even with 20% off and a free beer, price came to £18 and some change. Bit much for lunch?

Top class food and great atmosphere. If you come down to brick lane I would definitely recommend calling into city spice. I like their Salad with meal.

We visited this restaurant today for Mothers day....Great choice. We were all very happy with it. The restaurant is very well decorated and really clean and fresh looking. The staff were brilliant, very friendly and helpful. They were attentive but not overly. The food was AMAZING...Well cooked, tasty and plenty of it. Thank you so much to the staff for making Mothers day special. We will definitely be back.

This was genuinly one of the worst restaurants I've been to in years, they might offer you the set menu for £15, it's a trap, don't fall for it. Apart from the beer everything else was just absolutely horrible!

Honestly I never even attempt to put a bad review for anyone at all as it is not nice and I always say to friends do not put bad reviews as anything could happen especially at restuarants it is a business so no big deal BUTttt THIS Place ( it even made us avoid brick lane now!), the poor zero food quality & standards.. the unpolite &rude unbeliavable manager/ owner very poooor.. I cannot express how we feel and how bad the food was the poor quality it was so bad and on top of that the they do not even have respect for customers ...! This was the worst experience ever .. we could not did not even enjoy eating or finish our dishes starters and mains were terrible ( we even tried did our best to eat pretending it was okay so we have a good night as it was too late and we ordered already etc..) but still feel sick because of eating that food (starting with starters...) and wasted our money! terrible experience!! try to AVOID as they persuade customers with their offers outside the restuarant to get them in and then after you order they have no respect for you even when you ask nicely and say you cannot enjoy eat the food etc .. & they can clearly see (even from your face) that you did not even enjoy.. it looks as if they just want you to eat and leave & speak to you in a meann disrespectful manner! we could not enjoy the food &most of the food was all wasted .. they did not even attempt to say sorryy at least for your bad experience& we will let the chef know or whatever ... at leasttt!! we had the starters then we thought okayyy well lets wait for the main food that might be better lets give it a go.. lets try that I mean...! seriously! it was not us but the pooooor zero quality.. honestly nothing was good apart from the drinks! OF course we would still pay for the food & drinks of coursee what did you think?!!! we tried to eatt but you could have offered & say sorry at least or somethhing nice instead of waiting for us to just pay the bill and go..! we were so dissapointed frustrated with your terrible attitude on top of all that! our friend called after as she wanted to have food - she arrived later and we just decided to pay and go somewhere else..!At least have some respect for yourself/customers and be a gentleman/ businessman so you do not lose good customers! this is not how you treat customers and talk to them it is NoT..!! we did not come to complain or not pay or argue! we always go for Indian curry regularly somewhere else in central and our local area many times and never ever had such experience ..we are putting this review as we are sooooo dissapointed with the standards/quality and the way we were treated.. we never had such bad experience! also the way the manager and owner talked to us..!what can I say more... such a shameeee!! so poor! we will never be back again and wish we never came in the first place!!

We came as a group and waited quite a long time for the food. When it arrived two dishes were missing and the service which in general wasn’t too great didn’t really show interest. In regards of the food I was very disappointed especially after seeing the generally good reviews before coming here. I guess they treat groups differently with smaller portions and less friendliness in the service.

I stayed in the Crashpad above City Spice so thought it would be rude to not have a curry on Brick Lane. Made an excellent choice as the food was excellent with just the right amount of heat. It also came quickly. Went hard with the tip but forgot to ask if it was properly given to the staff. Hope so.

This is a great restaurant. Friendly staff and tasty food. Ask for the £15 deal. Two bottles of beer. Starter main. Poppadoms man and rice!
