Cranks Express in City of London

I’ve an amazing experience and the food was really really good and service 5 starts. Our waitress, Maria was so nice and look after us all the time even being busy she was always smiling and made our dinner an amazing evening. I’ll come back!

Poor quality service and some of the worst vegan pizza I’ve had in London. Always been happy with regular pizza express, but they need to improve on their vegan pizza. For a company of their standards, it’s just not good enough.

Changing my review after a few recent experiences. While I appreciate they keep vegan options, I'm sad to see this branch is no longer entirely vegan.Aside from that the service was very slow and clumsy. The pizza was chewy and under cooked and I went back not wanting to come again, something I can rarely say for pizza.I ordered a vegan margherita and a vegan veneziana.

Not a great experience at all at 147 Strand! Whilst we were seated fairly quickly, it then took 20 minutes for someone to even approach us to take our drinks order. We could clearly see staff standing around doing nothing and then there were no apologies for the delay when we were served. Starter dishes weren’t cleared prior to our mains being served and we were completely ignored from the time our mains were brought over to the time the bill came. Additionally, we were waiting another 15 minutes after finishing our food before anyone came to take our plates. The tables around us also had a pretty poor service with waiting times. I’ve always liked Pizza Express but this has been the worst experience with the chain. Just disappointed.

Interesting trying all vegan Pizza Express but give me the traditional American Hot any time!. Wouldn't go to Pizza Express if all branches were only vegan. Good friendly service

Vegan Pizza Express - it's the first vegan restaurant in the chain and I think they have managed to pull it off. The pizzas are nice for those seeking the full vegan menu, you will find that here they don't compromise. I have been here twice, and full disclosure, I am not vegan but I find that the vegan pizzas have a unique taste and I think that they really deliver that well here.

Fab to be able to choose freely. Menu seems progressive, not just a list of veganised dishes, but a range of new combinations and different ingredients, offering proper choice.Lovely attentive personal service. Would recommend everyone to try it out

Great options and alternative vegan versions of classic pizza express pizzas.As someone, who has tried both vegan and non-vegan versions, I can tell you that the differences are subtle.I really hope this idea takes off and expands to other parts of the country.

The food was average at best. Lots of choice, staff were attentive and kind, very accommodating to gluten free guests. I'd rather go to a regular pizza express and choose a vegan option 😅Completely dead atmosphere.. Nobody seems to want a fully vegan Pizza Express - maybe this is more of a PR stunt than anything?

One of the best in this franchise, it took a while for the staff to bring me a menu but the pizza made the wait worthwhile.
