Dumplings' Legend in City of London

Second chance for this restaurant. Nothings really changed. Took friends for dim sum lunch and was embarrassed about the service we received. Food was very ordinary. Should have learnt from the 1st experience. Don’t think I will be going back.

Me and my friend came here and has a very bad experience.Starting of, the bowls, plates and spoons were covered in small and long hairs which didn't match our colour. Still food on my plate that wasn't washed of. Although food was alright, still hairs inside. Bits of grease all over utensils and dirt on table. Not only that, we were dissapointed by service. Wait was 20 minutes outside even at the front of line. Do not reccomend and will not return here.

Amazing xia-long bao! (Truffle one is a must try!) Seabass and fennel dumplings were also great! Overall nice, simple place with great variety of dishes

Typical of London China towns restaurants busy loud food was awesome.Portions were really large. Service was good. Nothing amazing but not bad either. The restaurant was very busy and we didn't wait long. Would definitely return. The menu needs simplifying there's far to many dishes you would need at least 40 minutes to digest what's in offer.

outstanding, clean, high end Chinese in the heart of Londons Chinatown.The simplistic Black and white theme decor is elegant and matches the vibe that the restaurant strives to achieve.Overall the food is excellent though some dishes can be a little heavy from a richness angle.Service is efficient and good too.Highly recommended.

Excellent dim sum, pay cash before 4pm and you get 10% off your bill.Often a queue but it moves quickly as this is a large bustling restaurant.Dim sums are very good and well priced with efficient service

Who loves karaoke 🎤?🙋‍♀️I usually went to karaoke in Hong Kong with friends but rarely go for it in UK. My friend said that @dumplingslegend had a karaoke VIP room and so we booked it for dinner and karaoke. @dumplingslegend is just located in the Chinatown and it’s convenient for all us.@dumplingslegend📍 15-16 Gerrard St, London W1D 6JEWHAT WE GOT🥟Xiao Long Bao🍗Sichuan chicken in spicy sauce🥟Pork dumplings🍗Salt & pepper chicken🐮Hot & Fiery marinated beef slices & tripe🐚Steamed scallop and razor clam with vermicelliSichuan chicken was smothered with rich and spicy sauce which made me craving for more. That’s why it called mouth watering chicken (口水雞). 🤤Salt & pepper chicken used boneless chicken. It’s flavourful but a bit dry. But this was perfect with beer🍺Hot & Fiery marinated beef slices & tripe was awesome with different spice and herbs. I loved the garlic and coriander mixed with the spice. 🔥The scallops and razor clams were very fresh. They were perfectly steamed without overcook and the umami flavour was enhanced by adding a garlic & soy sauce. You couldn’t miss the vermicelli which absorbed all the flavours. Love them so much😍How’s the xiao long bao and dumplings? I’ll have another post for them🤗We finally spent 3 hours in the VIP room enjoying the delicious food, beer and karaoke. It’s a really good place for gathering or party.

Very good for xiao long bau (soup dumplings). Other than that, it’s a fairly typical dim sum place where the food is good but the service is rather indifferent. If you like dumplings then you can’t go wrong by paying a visit to this appropriately named restaurant!

From someone who eats Chinese food a lot in NYC- this place is great. I’m a vegetarian and I loved all their options. The veggie soup dumplings were actually tasty (most places make them very bland). Got tea and tofu dishes and really enjoyed everything

A bit of a mixed bag, but overall solid dimsum. The ones I liked was the Chengfan with barbecue pork, the xiao long bao, and the tofu skin with shrimp. The barbecue pork was way too salty. The siu mai and hargao was decent. Service was good and fast, price was reasonable
