Durrants Grill Room in City of London

The porter and reception staff are very rude. I am a London Black Cab Driver, I was dropping off a customer from Heathrow, and on dropping off the customer another came out from the hotel requesting a cab, he asked me to wait until his friend comes down. I went in to the hotel to use the toilets, I explained to the porter that I was a cab driver and showed him my badge, he would not let me use the facilities. As a London can driver I have never been refused any hotels facilities to this date apart from durrants. After a short while I was desperate and requested to the receptionist if I could use the toilets, she again refused and reffered me to the porter. I will not be recommending this hotel for customers or friends and family.

This is a classy, classic hotel where the staff provide a quality service.

Lovely hotel with lovely staff. The friendly barman, the breakfast staff, the concierge staff all made our family 2 night stay so memorable. And the location is so handy too.

We booked here after receiving a same day cancellation for a place in Camden Town.The Durrants is a lovely hotel and in a really nice part of London. Rooms were comfortable with good air con/bathroom facilities. Service from the porters was also really good. Look forward to revisiting.

Excellent hotel but the most impressive was the service provided by the bar manager Plamen. He was so friendly and professional, absolutely lovely and made my visit so special ❤. Excellent drinks and the food were so delicious that definitely will come back. If you have a chance don't miss out this hotel you will definitely feel spoiled and special

Charming hotel. We had the 3 course Sunday lunch at dinner time. The ambience of the restaurant is lovely. It was quiet on Sunday with only 4 covers.The meal was enjoyable but marred by a few let downs. The roast potatoes did not feel fresh but rather microwaved. The vegetables are fresh but could have benefited from 2 more minutes of steaming.The Yorkshire pudding was definitely prepared ages ago as it was dry and unappealing. Thankfully the beef was very nice and the accompanying horseradish sauce was gorgeous. Based on the picture attached, I would recommend a sharper carving knife!Would have the Sunday Lunch but I think perhaps at lunch when everything has just been prepped.

Durrants is a great British institution.The rooms are comfortable, but aren't always well appointed...check this when you book!The suites are lovely and are generally well appointed and equipped.The restaurant is excellent, but there are so many other excellent restaurants around Durrants, it would be a sin not to go out to eat at least a few times.Maybe leave the restaurant in Durrants for Breakfast and have lunch or dinner there on the last day/s

Had a late night drink at Durrants Hotel though when we entered the bar they were 'tilling up' (at 10.45 mind) and we had the distinct feeling they would have preferred to close the bar. After checking our residential status (we weren't staying at the hotel but so what?) we were told we would have to leave at 11.30. Thanks a million for the unfriendly welcome and low level customer service Durrants. Thankfully the female member of staff who served us was much friendlier hence the 3 stars. Hopefully the bar staff are usually friendlier/more accommodating at other times of the day/week. Otherwise there are plenty of other pubs and hotels in the upscale Marylebone area.

Nice traditional hotel with a very nice feel. Clean bathroom and decent sized bed. The breakfast was nicely cooked and presented. Good location near to Bond Street tube station and a 5 minute walk to Baker Street.
