Empire Chinese Restaurant in City of London

MY VERY FIRST TIME HERE ORDERING I TOLD HIM NOOOOOO HOT CHILLIES OR HOT SPICES IN ANY OF MY FOOD I CAN'T HANDLE IT AS IT BURNS MY GUMSMY CAME aN HOUR LATEBOTH DISHES CAME VERY SPICEYTHE CHICKEN KORMA LOOKED LIKE CURDLED CREAM SITTING ON TOP OF OIL AND I COULD IMAGINE THE FOOD HYGIENE HERE IS 0 OUT OF 5AND CALLING BACK EVEN THAT WAS A NIGHTMAREI'M GOING TO THE COUNCIL AS THIS PLACE IS IN NEED OR SERIOUS CLOSURE

Not a comfortable place to have dine in but I guess their delivery might be better.

Great food, bit pricey, but love my salty peppered prawns and squid.

Wanted a delivery but told I need to come down so I drove down. Placed my order which I was overcharged for. Told I need to pay in cash so then went to get cash, no problem. When I told her I was overcharged she said ok and gave me the difference. Ok fine so she obviously knew it was wrong. Got home and realised one of the items were missing. Couldn't be bothered going back so just left it. Ordered a chicken in black bean and only got half a portion, no peppers only onions, very poor. Other dishes were not full either. Will not be returning. Pay for full portion but receive a half portion. Bad service and being overcharged. Dud notice they had changed there name on the sign probably because of so many complaints.

I would give it zero stars if I could! I waited TWO HOURS for my food and it wasn't even a big order at all. Just two meals!. It came cold and they STILL wanted full payment! They never apologised, I had to chase after them by calling the restaurant so many times about my order which they just casually said we will call the driver without even getting back to me, I had to keep calling myself for an update. In the end they took £10 for a £15 order...to me that's a lousy way to say sorry which they still didn't even apologise. Food usually tastes good here but service is very poor to say the least!!! And with our food being cold, it tasted awful anyway!

Always forget at least one dish. When they bring the missing dish with your next order they will always try to charge you again for it. The sauces are like water, not a sauce, they ruins your food. rRbs always leak everywhere, I dont know why it's the only thing they don't wrap up and finally they are never in good time.

Over an hour from order to arrival. Food overcooked, and cold on arrival. The delivery guys doesn't apparently know what a doorbell is - I have no idea how long he was hammering on the front door to my building, but I am lucky my living room is above the door or I'd have missed him completely. We even told them which bell when we placed the order.So, in short - bad food, poor service. Oh, and the only positive review on here? That guy works there!! i recognize his face!!

Excellent service. Delivery in less than an hour. Food is very tasty and inexpensive. Chop sticks don't come as part of the meal so make sure you order them. Will repeat.

grilled meat dumplings and chicken satay are the best around here by far. lovely duck spring rolls tried for the first time last night ~ will have those again. other reviewers say sometimes takes a while to arrive but understandable on a weekend (they`ve always advised me how long its going to be when ordering if they anticipate a delay). the chicken in salt and chilli is great too. many many favourites on this menu. yum.

We ordered food to be delivered late on a Friday night. The food was excellent, really tasty with high quality ingredients. The Stir-fried Beef in Satay Sauce and the Singapore Vermicelli Noodles were amazing, a totally higher level then your typical chinese takeaway.The only downside was that delivery took an hour, even though it is only 1.5 miles away.
