Fishcotheque in City of London

A fairly traditional fish & chip shop (there are seemingly very few around in Central London), offering both take away and eat in (there is an additional cost for the eating in menu).From the outside it may not look that inviting, but the staff are friendly & while the dining area is on the small side, it is comfortable & spotlessly clean.The prices are a touch on the high side, but it is still worth a visit as the portions are huge and the fish is high quality.

The food is well-prepared and the portions are sizeable. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the location of this restaurant. Another plus worth mentioning is that, with the fish and chips, the sauces they serve are high-quality brands. Overall, this is a good, clean place - highly recommended.

Lovely!We went for the classic fish and chips. The menu doesn’t say “fish and chips” as one dish, you order them separately and choose both the fish and size of the chips portion, which was a bit confusion for a tourist like me. But the food was excellent, portions were big, the price totally justified.

Lovely place, with good service. Would not have found it if not for Google reviews & maps, the front is quite small. The food was a good portion, tasty, fresh fish and chips. One of the best I've had in London and will definitely go back for more.

Finding a fish and chip shop is nigh on impossible in London. I stumbled across this one and needed a feed. Great chips and superb fish... Highly recommended if you can find it....

I wouldn't call it an authentic experience for fish&chips. Went there only because it is the 2nd most rated on TripAdvisor but wouldn't recommend it.. No mushy peas with fish and chips.. You can find better, cheaper and authentic ones

This is the only place you can get a good ol' bag of chips from. Really great food. And the owner remembered me after not having sat in to eat for a long time. If you know, you'll remember the fish tank in the corner - RIP fish tank! 😂 One of those independent gems in Waterloo.

Nice chips and big portions but prices are more expensive if you dine in. I have had lots of comments about the colour of the chips but they were perfectly fine and delicious being pale! Will be back.

The true authentic experience of Fish&Chips!You truly have to try this fantastic place and excellent service! The food was just amazing! Fish was fresh and so tasty, the place was very clean, and everyone was so friendly. I plan to go there again before I leave London. My dinner today was the true London Fish&Chips unique and authentic experience. Highly recommend!
