Flame in City of London

Visited here on Saturday 2nd April for my Stag Do.The food was absolutely brilliant and the waiters & waitresses did a fantastic job given service to the 23 of us.Food arrived in a timely manner and was all served within 5 minutes of the first meal coming out the kitchen. Credit to the Chef who was on that evening.

I have been there yesterday for dinner. The ribs were amazing as well as the steak- it was cooked as I asked for - medium rare. The wine by glass was also good value for money. The service is high quality, I have been asked several times if I am happy with the food and my food has arrived soon after I ordered.The 2 downsides are 1st the music was a bit loud and did not match to the atmosphere of the restaurant and 2nd, the chips were a bit soggy. Other than that, I enjoyed everything.

A delicious meal, attentive staff and swift service. The slow cooked beef and lamb meals were excellent with beautifully cooked vegetables. The halloumi starter is outstanding and imaginative. Don't come here if you're vegan though!!!

The ambience here is nice, the staff are friendly and the food is ok - if a little overpriced. The selection of dishes is pretty good. What amazed me though, is that when a table orders 6 dishes - they charge for condiments! Literally 25p per mayo and mustard. Really?

Very friendly staff, generous portions. Only minus cold water in taps (restrooms) , however restrooms amazing styled.

Have been here around 15 times over the past 3 years.Today I went and waited an hour and 10 minutes for starters (scallops and some warm bread) and then a further hour for steaks, which were cooked incorrectly (asked for medium rare and they were medium well done). Was also told after 2 hours they didn’t have any bernaise sauce. Asked to speak to manager about the poor service and was met by a chef who said he was in charge and that he ‘didn’t care’ because he was leaving soon.Place has gone downhill quickly, would avoid and I won’t be going back.

All I can say is wow! Not only is the interior of this restaurant stunning but the staff are exremely helpful and friendly. I was constantly checked on, asked if I would like help or recommendations and honestly my steak was DELICIOUS, the wine was delicious, everything was wonderful. I had such a great experience celebrating my engagement with my fiancee. I am definitely coming back!

We came here to celebrate two birthdays, the customer service was outstanding and the food was fantastic. Between the four of us we shared the calamari and mezze platter both were delicious, followed by perfectly cooked steaks. We had the homemade cheesecake which was chocolate and hazelnut, it was absolutely gorgeous and we all managed to clean our plates :) Thank you Flame & Fire for a wonderful evening xx

I had the best lamb ever at Flame and Fire 🔥. Delicious food and good customer service 👍🏻 I would highly recommend to all my friends and family! ♥️ Looking forward to go again 🤗

Lovely place, good service and everyone adhered and stuck to the guidelines of safety with maks an adequate signage through out. Starters were excellent, tasty juicy and fair priced. I was overly impressed with the lack of menu however, although this isn't always a bad thing. Mains were overall very good, a bit pricy but justified on the whole. My shrimps were not over cooked and not rubbery, my steak was done very well to how I ordered and the sauce complimented well, also presented well. I found however my food getting cold quite quickly, within a few minutes I was eating a cold steak. Also my partner's lamb was very tender and succulent but the veg was a lottle over cooked.I'll say again the service made the night very attentive. If I could give this place a 4.5 I would becuae it was good but not perfect. However for a first date or even third or fourth, I would definatelt recommend.
