Haven't been in a less than great one yet. Yummy and crunchy and buttery oh my. Tea was very good also.Suggestion for the stores is to put in a self busing station. Not a complaint.

I’ve visited Gail’s bakeries around London too many times to count, and generally consider it a staple of my coffee spots. During lockdown I must have visited my local branch in exmouth market nearly daily. So I hate to report that my phone was stolen today at this location within a few feet of multiple employees whose initial reaction was that they didn’t notice the two thieves who came in to run their little scam, which in hindsight was an obvious ploy. Basically the two people came in with placards scrawled with pleas for help. They set the placard down on peoples tables with the aim of swiping the phone as they walk away. They put the placard on multiple tables but I was the only lucky victim, distracted because I had been eating with the phone resting off to the side. No one working here said anything when I loudly exclaimed that my phone was stolen, and said they hadn’t seen anything in what is a relatively small space. Someone offered to look up the nearest station so I could go report the theft, and it was only after I asked directly that someone else lent me a phone so I could call the police instead. This theft happened just after I had sat down with a sandwich and coffee. No one offered to comp the meal or even a business card with contact details should I or the police need to get in touch later. The attitude was basically that they had nothing to do with this. I truly value the idea of third spaces and use them a lot. But restaurants need to recognise that people aren’t coming to them to sit vigilantly with an eye on every belonging while fetching their own coffee and sugar. If you’re going to charge eat in prices there should be some element of service, which could reasonably extend to preventing random crime while people eat indoors. I’m mostly writing this review so that others are warned as it appears this kind of crime is ubiquitous now and you really can’t let your guard down at all anymore.

Great food, extraordinarily slow service. Staff seem bewildered and out of their depth. This is on Sunday mornings; other days and times may be better.

My go-to cafe during work week. Oat chai latte is the absolute best here. Great selection of pastries and pasties, spinach and feta roll has got to be one of my faves too. They do really nice soups, tomato soup is available pretty much every day and others rotate. You get some in-house made bread with the soup too, which is nice. Overall a great place, with very friendly and helpful staff and a quality food & drinks.

nice coffee, even though food can’t be heated which is awful it was good still. Place can get a bit dirty every empty table had lots of rubbish and other customers leftovers were there for quite some time.

Shhh don't tell anyone...The best pastry and coffee suntrap in London. But don't let anyone else know. It's our little secret.Looking out over a beautiful square and so close to central. The almond croissant is the one and the coffee is awesome. The staff are all excellent. Our go to when we have a spare morning or friends visiting.

A lovely bakery shop! They do have a lot of bakery selections, with a whole range of European countries. Got different types of scones, croissants and others. Covering both sweet and savory selection.Got a plain scone and a one-shot cappuccino dine-in. The cappuccino was well-made. The scone was okay, I have had better ones but the jam was nice.It would be about ÂŁ5 for to-go, but it feels really good eating in their cute little shop that definitely worth a little extra. Seats are limited and thus not suitable for large groups.

Wow. Wee weekend trip to London, wanted to ensure we tried some "non-chain" options as there is so much to choose from.Happily, of all the choices I'm glad Gail's was where we landed for lunch! Absolutely delicious, fresh, tasty filling food, and one of the best cups of coffee I've had in recent memory.Highly recommended - though you may struggle for a seat as it's very popular!

I was introduced to this heavenly bakery by a friend. I had a croissant with chocolate & almonds (all in one!) and a Flat White coffee. So fresh and delicious! I now want to try pretty much everything from their menu :) All the baked goods are beautifuly displayed on the "island" in the middle of the bakery... so inviting & mouthwatering. The staff was friendly & helpful. There are a few seating spaces inside & outside.
