Granger & Co in City of London

I walked in this place without reservation as this restaurant was the first on the list when I searched for breakfast with Google map. Despite the high rating, my experience is not so nice. First my table is covered with salts from last guest and after sat me down the waiter did not clean the table, I have to do myself using a napkin. My coffee did came fast and nice but I have waited for almost 20 minutes for my breakfast plate. The pouched egg is already cold. The restaurant is not fully occupied so I am not sure why my plate got delayed this long and the food became cold.

Such a lovely spot for breakfast/brunch. Good service but this place is extremely expensive for bunch. Decent but overpriced for what you get.The fluffy pancakes are the draw, super buttery, but feels overhyped. These hotcakes looked better than they tasted. Quite eggy - it's how they get them so fluffy. Almost like an omlette or scrambled egg with some flour.

Liked the atmosphere, friendly staff, we were lucky to get a table right away for lunch on a Saturday. Really liked the food and fresh herbal tea. It is definitely more on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for. (Especially given the location) We stayed about 3 hours catching up with an old friend and no one rushed us despite the restaurant being full which was great.

I went there on 18 December. Everything was good except the fact that they added £1 extra to my bill. When I asked the waitress, she said it’s for the charity (helping children in Africa whatsoever). She said usually there would be a paper saying that but I didn’t get it at all. I felt ripped off. As I was alone and didn’t want to get into ‘troubles’ or be accused of insensitive to children, I paid it. They shouldn’t take advantages of customers in the name of charity. Very dodgy.

The staff was super kind. Got the almond brittle and dark chocolate sorbet dessert as it’s vegan. The chef gave us strawberries cause we couldn’t hVe the gin soaked berries. Amazing food, really great service. Highly recommend!Came back for brunch a year later and so happy with the menu, so many vegan options and tasted very fresh. Perfect portion size and as always very nice staff and prompt service!

Fast service even at 12 on a work day.I felt the seating was a little cramped and there was no where to really put your coat or any bags you had easily.Food was nice. Staff seemed happy and helpful.Portion sizes ok.Good for a quick bite to eat.

You can only book after 5 pm so you have to wait a lot at weekends to have a site if you want to have a brunch or something.Staff is very polite.Food and coffee is good, although the hot chocolate is not so good.

So glad my wife & I found this spot! What a comfortable, stylish spot with (bonus for us) a nice long bar to dine at. Everyone was very friendly, casual yet professional. We really enjoyed our three dishes: the crispy chicken, peanut and iceburg cups weer excellent, perfectly spicy and crunchy with a cool ranch dip; the raw tuna, yellow tomato & radish salad was fresh and tasty; and the chopped salad w/ edamame, courgette,cabbage, tomatoes & chickpeas was also tasty with a nice sesame dressing. We'd definietly return!

What a lovely place with a typical Aussie vibe! Great options for breakfast and amazing coffees! The sourdough avocado toast was my choice and didn't go wrong! Definitely worth trying the warmer options as they looked very appealing!
