Came early (6pm), ate great food, went home satisfied. The leek-vinaigrette-walnut entree thing was devoured by the wife in seconds (which given she is a slow eater speaks volumes). I can recommend the onglet (i.e. loin cut). Price was pretty good too…

Nice upmarket place to enjoy some more adventurous cooking with interesting cuts of meet in this former Victorian butchers shop. Lovely staff and nice atmosphere.

Great British seasonal produce. Everyone on our table wanted others to try their dish - but not too much as they wanted most for themselves! Limited and changing menu. Check online before you go, but if you like what you see it will be done fantastically well. Worth the money for sure.

And absolutely fantastic experience that I would recommend to anyone seeking out good food in this area. The kitchen is open and exposed so you can see folks making meals. I enjoyed being able to see that it really lends an authentic feel to your food.

This place was so great. Every bite was perfect.We had a reservation at 6 pm and by the time we left at 7:30 it was packed.We had 2 appetizers and the mussels were affordable and fresh and completely delicious.The partridge legs with lentils were also insanely good. Tender, perfectly salted, great flavor.Dessert: do not miss the honeycomb ice cream or the passion fruit sorbet. Both are excellent.

We went for the lunch menu. Very affordable for good quality food. Friendly staff. 2 courses for £15.50 and 3 for £18.50.

This restaurant has a really lovely atmosphere, busy, bustly but not 'too much'. Some dishes, which are certainly not overpriced, were excellent - like the potted crab with a touch of cayenne. However, the sole (which came with delicious broccoli) was fried, not grilled, and overdone, and the treacle tart was poor. Food needs to feel more 'special'.

Travelling to west London to dine can be daunting when you live in Shoreditch but the clear influence of St John - a comfortable digestif walk from where I live - on their cuisine and ambience made me feel right at home.This wonderful dining experience was made all the sweeter for being on the eve of yet another ramping up of government restrictions and subsequent restaurant closures.I enjoyed the feeling that I was surrounded by regulars who were on first name terms with the staff, yet as a first timer was welcomed with the same warmth.

Nice deco and quite good service. The quail was the highlight which was crispy outside and juicy. Food was cooked nicely but unfortunately, lack of seasoning. If they serve a simple menu, it’s important to get the seasoning perfect. Desserts were ok but then again, nothing impressive. Overall it’s a bit disappointing.

Great value set lunch with 3 courses and still change from £20! I thought the duck liver starter was very rich and tasty. Onglet was done well as was the rice pudding. Straightforward but well executed dishes. Hardly anyone there for weekday lunches.
