Best sushi in London hands downThe quality of the fish is great and the staff is very knowledgable .We had the sushi and sashimi set as well as some extra plates .The octopus starter and the aubergine miso plate were the highlights🤤🤤As for the sashimi you cannot go wrong , it’s all super fresh and tastes great!Great for a special occasion.A bit on those expensive side for sushi but definitely worth it .

Unfortunately I didn’t have the opportunity to rate their food, I made a reservation for my birthday on the 23rd of December months in advance (had to give my credit card details to secure the booking), I was so looking forward to it, when I turned up on the day I noticed the lights were off and there was a notice saying they were closed for Xmas. I was in shock that Ikeda didn’t even bother to contact me to let me know they weren’t gonna open on the day I could have planed something else instead. It was so frustrating as I had to look for somewhere else last minute when most places were fully booked! I have emailed them for an explanation didn’t get a reply and I don’t think it’s fair for anyone to treat like this. Until now I still have not had a single reply from them! Thank you Ikeda for such an unfordable birthday surprise!

Super friendly service. Everything very nice, very chic, very expensive. But nothing special. Typical Mayfair.Try the super cloudy sake and have a look at the fun celebrities' endorsements downstairs.

I was blew away by how authentic the food was. The quality and the service were impeccable. Love every dishes we had. It was my friend regular place, according to him the food has been consistent throughout the years. You will not regret any dish you have ordered.

The freshness and flavour of all fishes and sea food was the highlight of the experience. I’ve ordered only two dishes: pork belly as a starter (great choice, tasted divine) and sashimi as my main. I had a delicious peach sake for dessert as they only offer ice creams for dessert and I didn’t feel like it.The restaurant is small but doesn’t feel particularly intimate, the decor could be improved. Lovely waitresses, extremely polite and attentive.I took one star as I should have received a 20% discount as I had booked my dinner online for 17:30 last Thursday and this was conveniently “forgotten” by the staff. My mistake not to have reminded them before paying.

I made reservation for a bar counter table but only realised they have a sashimi bar counter and a normal bar counter facing chef doing normal dishes. I didn't really like the idea looking at the chef slicing raw chicken or frying tempura at such a close distance 😅 anyway, I had the sashimi platter with 8different fishes, soba and tempura. Some sashimi was slightly smushy not as firm, freshness is slightly off maybe but overall I would still give it a 5 star and I would come back again.

A good place to recall memories travelling to Japan.Began with a warm welcome, service quality could be better by offering a hot towel to each guest.Medium fatty tuna was up to standard. The fat was distributed beautifully. Sushi rice could be improved by adding a bit more sushi vinegar replicating the authentic Japanese style.A La Carte Sashimi could be ordered by the piece was an excellent gesture!Gindara ( black cod ) was nicely cooked. A little bit oily feeling at the end.Tempura was average. The flour surrounding the Tempura could be a lot thinner.Ice creams were mixed with vanilla flavour regardless of Red Bean/Green Tea flavour. This should be mentioned in the menu.

High end cuisine, fairly priced, actually lower than I would have expected.I came here with my friend who has visited it so often that she has already tried everything on the menu and she ordered everything.Apple sake is rather special comparing to all the plum sake jn Japanese cuisine restaurants, it is sweeter but in a refreshing way, and doesn’t have the sour alcohol taste as in the plum sake. Highly recommendedEverything is quite high standard. Really enjoy Kobe beef. Would be better if the menu has more dessert other than ice cream and mochi ice-cream.Would come again and tried out chicken 烧鸟next time, and perhaps the wasabi ice cream

Really authentic Japanese cuisine. One of the freshest sea urchin I’ve ever tasted in London. Unagi is amazingly cooked and good proportion. Only downside is that it’s a bit overpriced for what they are offering, but understandable for the location. Will recommend when you are in that area.
