Sadly the food was so very under par. It was like basic pub food but 10x the price. Food took a long time to come too :( was pretty disappointed in the quality

Gorgeous (but approachable) fine dining, relaxed but definitely luxurious atmosphere. The service was prompt, helpful, professional but still friendly. The menu has a good variety of food and fun cocktails as well as a decent wine list. A very enjoyable dining experience.

Steak tartare was delicious. Our orders took a long time to arrive tho around 45 minutes. The duck in orange was delightful. Tender and comes off the bone beautifully. One of the waitresses kept asking if we were finished but clearly we were not so it’s a bit bizarre. Usually staff can tell from how the cutlery is positioned to indicate if one is finished. Yes I agree, a bit on the pricey side.

What can I say, it is Tony Page in a restaurant.Style - Presentation - Service - Quality - Attention to detail - Customer focused - Pricey.Definitely worth a visit. Great high quality food with attention to detail along with great service. What I would expect is what I got. 5 Star

Finest dining experience for kosher restaurant in London. The food flavours were out of this world.I highly enjoyed the duck a L’orange with the chargrilled prime rib of beef and the Sicilian tomato salad with the chargrilled corn & pomegranate salad .. those were beyond beyond… if I come back I would easily order that again and I am so confident to say you should try them as well… as i am sure there is no room for disappointment.Loved the ambiance and classy decor .Already recommended my friend to visit and will be back sometime soon.

Staff were absolutely lovely and food was delicious- but SO overpriced. £12 for two tiny scoops of ice cream and an espresso?! The ambience also left something to be desired- strange stuffed animals dotted on the floor around the place, weird rainbow lights over the tables and an odd mix of pounding 80s dance and hip hop - not really a good match for the vibe of the place! Food portions could have been more generous too - I appreciate that less is more but it's never a good look when diners can pay £60 for two courses and still go home hungry... we paid £38 for a 'rack' of ribs that turned out to be about 4 small pieces!

Beautiful and very classy restaurant- (to answer another review, a place where you are meant to EAT not only drink, it's not a.bar! It is a perfect place to celebrate a nice event, the food, presentation and terrace are all excellent.Count to spend around 60-70 pounds a head with service, wine and soft drinks, so not on the cheap side, but again, so pleased we got to finally celebrate my son's 18th at the Island Grill. I rarely eat meat but my ribeye was simply fantastic and my daughter's burger really well served. Amazing chocolate fondant and profiteroles. The owner, Tony Page, greets his customers with a kind word and makes sure all are happySome suggestions:Perhaps it would be a good idea to propose the Salmon and Beef tartare both as a Starter and also as a Main with a supplement. In the evening, I recommend taking the second service though (after 8pm,I would say that to avoid making the staff nervous and to give some extra time to customers, they should consider doing a 6pm to 8:20pm and 8:30 to end of evening), otherwise - like many other places nowadays in London- you will have to give back your table after two hours.Soon enough though it will also have tables inside and the problem might be solved as it is rather large and beautiful inside too!

Bland food... truly boring! My husband and I decided to try this restaurant as the reviews showed it was promising. I’d have to say it was subpar at its best. The waitress (Barbara) was very nice and definitely the only reason our experience was good at all. I loved that she was so personable and kept us smiling. So thank you for that experience you are doing a great job!Food:1. Scallops- Don’t even bother with the Scallops as they were disgusting. Never have I eaten such a bland and rubbery food in my life (maybe the chef doesn’t know how to cook them?). I’m a huge seafood fan and that was just nasty.2. Pea Soup- Disgusting. It’s like this place doesn’t even know what salt and pepper are. For a nicer scale restaurant I should not need to season my own food, meaning the food should be seasoned correctly. I had to put loads of salt and pepper in this soup to make it even edible.3. Tomato Salad- Just standard, but you can’t really mess up tomatoes and mozzarella!4. Sirloin and Beef Rib- Both were just meh nothing really stood out for us.We didn’t even bother with dessert as we didn’t want to spend more money for tasteless food. Honestly, just sad with this experience. We should have eaten elsewhere.

Wow, what an experience, this IS a 5 star restaurant hands down. Service was over the top. Every employee at Island Grill did a superb job, especially our waiter Gilberto! The food was delicious, every plate was spectacular in its own way, and the flavors were spot on.I felt out of place in my blue jeans and my carhartt vest. But they treated with the utmost respect. So when you come to London or get near Hyde Park stop and have the meal of a lifetime, you will not regret it. THANK YOU!

Arrived at the restaurant short notice, no table booked but was able to fit a table for 8.The restaurant very clean and spacious, with friendly and helpful waiters and waitresses.I was with a group of Russians, Italians, Irish, American and Germans they were all pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and favour of the cuisine they ordered.Although the portion sizes were very different in each of the dishes, the cuisine and flavours were excellent. The staff were great and ensured you were served immediately whenever you wanted anything.I loved they were able to remember what each person drank and ordered, plus provided recommendations on wines that pair with foods.Well done and thank you for fitting us all in at very short notice.
