Istanbul Bistro in City of London

We were looking for halal breakfast options near Great Portland Street station, so endedUp at Istanbul cafe. We ordered shakshuka and Turkish egg dishes, both dishes were freshly prepared and tasted amazing. This was one of the most authentic and fresh Turkish breakfast I had in London. Staff was very courteous and professional, restaurant decor is very unique and well maintained. Best part is the location which is just besides the entrance of underground station. Highly recommended if u are near this area.

If you want to eat quality cooked food made with fresh ingredients I highly recommend this restaurant. The food is cooked as you order it. You can tell the chef takes pride in what he is doing. You can really taste the different Ingredients and spices. Houmous is home made and everything taste amazing. It's a big change from all the restaurants selling grilled chicken and rice. Customer service is also excellent. Pleasant and engaging.Also if you like you coffee do try one. It's perfect and high quality!

We went here for valentines day breakfast.We order two big breakfast and Turkish coffee. The place was filthy the tables were not wiped you check my photos I posted the filth. The breakfast was basic English breakfast nothing special but I did like how much they crisped my bacon some people may prefer soft but not me.Then there's the Turkish coffee it's a bit too strong for me.The service was very poor there staff almost had disappeared.I will not be visiting here again.

A lovely restaurant serving very good and tasty food. From starters to main menu and desserts, we enjoyed every item ordered. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The ambience is nice. Thank you.

Right above the great port land street station.I was in the area and tried the their Mediterranean breakfast. It was good , but if you are too hungry then portion may not be sufficient. However, for me it was ok. Fresh orange juice was njce too. Service is quick. Lot of options on the menu too for breakfast. Restaurant is Halal.

Had a really good time, the service was top notch really friendly staff. I cannot overstate how much the staff is willing to go above and beyond, to ensure you have an exceptional experience.Went for dinner had the lamb steak, the calamari, and BUZBAG wine and it was excellent quality on all accounts.

The best Turkish Restaurant I have tried in London so far. Excellent taste. I am big fan of “Kunefe” desert and the one i tried here was super good! I also recommend their lamb dishes

Lovely place. Needed somewhere to work for a couple of hours, while having having bit to eat, and cup of tea. Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere. Right next to Great Portland Street tube, so easy to get where where need to go next. Hopefully see you again soon next.time I'm about... thank you again... :)

Nice Turkish food at a very central and accessible location. The decor is amazingly interesting and the soup is as delicious as I had hoped for it to be. I ordered some Sujuck (sausages) but whatever was served didn’t match but was spicy and nice although a bit on the fatty side. I recommend and will probably visit again with friends ッ

So surprised! A beautiful authentic taste of Turkish cuisine in Central London! The home made bread, the crispy yet succulent falafel (best I've had in 10 years of London life), the fresh salads - absolutely lovely. The hummous as well - just gorgeous. So very impressed and for the price it's a must. I'll be back again and again. Thanks to the lovely wait staf who are so attentive and professional and the manager who has such an eye for detail and really cares about every customers experience. Also - cobra on tap! Winner.
