Friendly and fast service! Great for parties and events, good bar, nice cocktails and amazing floor for dancing

I visited Jamies recently as part of a big group. The food provided was exceptional, the portions were portions and the dishes tasty, however, the general service from the team was not so.The bar staff were rude and clearly did not want to be there. They also served different sized drinks for the same price (for instance, a coke-a-cola was £3 while sometimes served as a pint and other times less).I’d also note that given the guidelines around Covid, staff did not wear masks.

Staff Christmas meal friendly attentive service delicious food and worth every penny since I am the bloke who paid for it all. Recommended for your "gathering" that definitely is not a party.....

I’ve been here several times for business and personal. I love coming here. It’s a special place for me and my husband but also a great place for business. The food is great, excellent service and drinks! Never a bad time at Jamie’s!

Favourite place in the city now. Little spoilt by people going to a black tie event but they left after a while. They sell one of my favourite wines which is a bonus. Staff are great and they do table service. Clean and comfortable environment. This will be our go to place. Great company last night with work colleagues lots of laughs so a fabplace to spend time with friends.

We had a really fabulous lunch at the newly refurbished Jamie's St Mary at Hill bar!Myself and three friends started with some truly delicious bar snacks... calamari, padron peppers, mozzarella & pesto arancini with a tomato and basil sauce, garlic and parsley prawns (£20 for a choice of 4... very reasonably priced for the generous servings) and some chunky chips. The fish finger toasted brioche sandwich I had to follow, was alsomouth-wateringly good!! My friends had burgers and a chargrilled ribeye steak ciabatta and also raved!! We had a NZ Sauvignon Blanc from the extensive wine list... you really are spoilt for choice here!!The new surroundings are very comfortable with a really cool and stylish ambience! My final glowing review will end with a comment about the totally charming staff... they were incredibly helpful and knowledgable about the food and wine they were serving. All in all a really special experience... we will definitely be back!!!

Disgusting behaviour from the blonde male waiter who spilled an entire tray of drinks on our coats and told other customers that it was our fault because we moved our chairs!? He proceeded to give us dirty looks and when I challenged him he went quiet. Clearly a rude, lying coward! We did not even receive an an apology at all from this waiter and have all been left with dry cleaning bills. I will never go back here again. Jamie’s, please train your staff on how to carry drinks and fix their attitudes.

Basement level wine bar with a decent food selection in the small restaurant. Prices about average for the city (fish and chips £14.95) Good selection of wines (as you would expect) beers a little limited.Great "club" like atmosphere with helpful and friendly staff who worked hard to keep the bar and tables clutter freeWill go there again when in the area
