Jerk city in City of London

Joyce's Jerk Joint was a great dining place to eat in the heart of the West End. I used to regularly eat at the restaurant when it was known as Mr Jerk.Excellent food, fast service, reasonable priced dishes and drinks and very good customer service.

Terrible. Usual spot I order from wasnt open so thought would give this a try, despite the high prices. Big mistake. You would think that for £14 you would get a decent amount of jerk chicken… Then you have the sauce covering and surrounding the chicken, with a thick layer of oil on top of it. Cant even pour out the sauce onto rice because the oil is too much. The jerk sauce even tastes more like some sort of hot sweet bbq sauce than jerk. You lot need to have a rethink about your prices because they do not reflect the quality or quantity of the food. To top it off, you also forgot the drinks I ordered. Dont order from this whack place, its a bump.

My partner and I came across this lovely Caribbean restaurant on our way to SoHo. I'm glad we popped in as food was simply amazing. I ordered the braised oxtail stew which was truly flavourful. The meat was so soft and tender it literally came apart and melted in my mouth. All mains come with a choice of rice as a side. I chose the coconut peas and rice and it was fragrant, fluffy and delicious. My partner had the chicken curry rotti that was equally scrumptious. He loved it so much he was still talking about it on the train back home.Overall a highly recommended restaurant if you want to sample Caribbean cooking. Food was served fresh and piping hot and in generous servings. This cuisine is not shy of spices so be prepared if you haven't got a tongue of steel. Also, the price can be a little steep, but that's London for you. The staff are very friendly (although service can be quite sluggish). It can get packed inside as well, but at least there's the option of take away.

Extremely disappointed and that is putting it lightly. It appeared that white guests were treated differently to black guests.Made to order at the till, when we asked what the drinks were we were told to look in the fridge. All communication was rather short sharp and rude, we assumed that was normal level of service until other guests arrived and witnessed them recieve table service and completely different attitude.The food was ok, although you could hear ping of the microwave.When I asked the waitress when we were about to leave and she can back to the table, she basically said we were not welcome because of our colour.We only chose to eat here as the reviews where good and the other Caribbean in the area looked more commercial and we love the family feel caribbean restaurants and eat at them often.To be made to feel like we just have is somewhat shocking and extremely upsetting

The name may have changed over the years, but the food was been consistently amazing. Still my fave Caribbean restaurant in London. Good portion size too

Was so good, went back the next day and picked up a take away. Jerk Chicken was awesome, proper spicy tho so watch out. The Ox Tail was so good. Order those 2 and share and your be happy.

Not had a carribean meal like this since the early 90's, feed the nation on the Dudley Road Birmingham, if you know you know. I had stewed chicken rice and peas and steam veg with a crisp fluffy centred fried dumpling to soak up the gravy 10 out of 10 I will try the jerk tomorrow 😋

Cannot be faulted.Joyce's seems like your average food place from the outside. It needs love. It doesn't feel welcoming. But come inside and all of that changes.Joyce's serve the best jerk, rice and peas in the city. Forget other places like jaydees and come to Joyce's for the best jerk. Simply the best.

Chicken soup was 🔥🔥🔥 Also had the vegetable jackfruit roti which was also really good would just say the pieces of jackfruit could’ve been a little smaller to make it easier to handle overall but was really nice

This is just the place for eating and sharing Caribbean food, so delicious. Depending on your choice,food can be a bit spicy. A great thing is,you eat in or take away or order on line.Meals are well prepared by competent and experienced cooks.I love, the rotis rice and peas as well as jerk meats chicken,mutton included. Potions are generous and staff are welcoming. Love taking my friends there.
