The service was terrible, they were uncaringly delivering the food to us. They forgot to give us napkins, cutlery and plates. It felt slightly discriminatory, being that we were the only South Asian people in the restaurant. But the food was alright.

I love this little restaurant! It reminds me of Japan every time I visit. At the moment they don't have the sushi menu on (I was craving natto so initially disappointed) but their current menu is still very typically Japanese. I had the beef steak curry and it was perfectly cooked. I savoured every mouthful. I was sitting near Japanese businessmen and felt like I was back in Japan haha! It got busier as the evening went on which made service a bit slow but they were still very attentive and did not rush me at all. If you ever want to get away and find a relaxed corner of Japan in London, I recommend Cocoro. I look forward to going back again soon~~ thanks!

A lovely and small Japanese restaurant with fantastic food and super friendly staff, just like you would experience in Japan. Absolute delight, highly recommended! I will be back soon!

Quality of food is a solid 6.5 out of 10. It’s the kind of place that you will walk out and then forget about. As an experience, once is enoughCentral location with a clean interior though, so suspect as a business it will do ok

The food was really good overall with moderate prices for the quality. I had one of the best ramens in a while. Great service from the waiter who even went the extra mile by trying to explain how to use chopsticks. I was intrigued by the large selection of authentic japanese spirits.. maybe next time. The missing star is only due to personal taste as in I would have appreciated a stronger and more marked vibe/atmosphere with decor and music. Great overall and a truly authentic gem. Definitely worth a second go!

Have you been in an Izakaya before? An izakaya (居酒屋) is a type of bar in Japan where many people go to drink and have snacks. This is absolutely my fav place coz I love eating snacks and drinking🍺🍺🍺My colleague in France came to London and we went to @cocoro_izakaya having dinner. When I passed through the entrance, there was a red wall with plates of food. Further down into the restaurant, there were some lanterns and photos with Japan background. I felt like going back to Tokyo😍WHAT WE HAD🥢Agedashi tofu🍗Yakitori🥟Vegetable gyoza🍘Takoyaki🐔Gomateba (chicken wings)🍗Karaage🍜Tonkotsu ramen🍜Karaage miso ramenAgedashi tofu was tasty and authentic. The silken tofu was lightly coated and deep fried then placed in Tsuyu sauce. It topped with grated daikon, ginger and nori. Love the authenticity Yakitori used chicken thigh with teriyaki sauce. It’s juice and sweet which balanced well with the bitterness of beer.Takoyaki was in perfect ball shape. It’s topped with mayo, takoyaki sauce, aonori & Katsuobushi. The taste was good but the octopus was too tiny inside🙈.Tonkotsu ramen came with Char Siu, seaweed, bean sprouts and tamago. The broth was not creamy white but my colleague said the taste was good. Karaage miso ramen came with Karaage, wood ear mushroom, bean sprouts and tamago. The broth was strong in miso flavour and delicious. The ramen was chewy and firm. Very nice How’s the gyoza, Gomateba and Karaage? I’ll have another post on Instagram @ccgyozalover for these yummy dishes.

I was so happy to come across this place while heading to visit the museum. I didnt know what to expect, as l walked through the door there is an amazing installation of plates of food on offer hung in the wall.Jaoanese yellow lanterns greet your eye as you enter further into the restraunt. As l entered l had the most lovely warm welcoming. Suddenly l felt transported back to Tokyo, it really didn't feel like London. There is a wonderful menu, great food and green tea. I love the simple but elegant decor, and warm atmosphere. Staff very attentive, friendly and engaging with customers. It's worth a visit, West end prices, but l was happy with that. I now feel excited on returning to Japan 🇯🇵 in two weeks. Nice way to get into preparation.

Absolutely amazing food there. We tried tofu, sardine with plum, and peanut paste spinach for starter, was positively surprised how good they were. Then followed by two quality bowls of noodle soups. London pricing with 10% service charge. Worth every penny :)

We had vegetable gioza, pork ramen & hot house sake.. all were very tasty, good size portions, reasonably priced... Welcoming, polite & helpful staff. Not sure about all those food posters from the menu on walls... in my opinion it downgrades the place & takes away the class & sophistication. They played some radio-streamed music on the background when we visited, which was a nice touch to add to the atmosphere. The toilets were downstairs, so wouldn't be easy for those with accessibility needs.
